Claws/SR build, need some feedback.

I'm gonna create a Claw/SR scrapper when issue 7 hits live. But since I have never played with either Claws or SR I need some feedback if my build seems decent. I'll mostly play PvE but wanna be able to drop into the PvP zones also without feeling 'gimped'.

Only went up to lvl40, feels like lvl50 is a far away.

Should I try to get Aid-self into the build?
Change number of slots or use different enh in the powers?
Drop some powers infavor for better ones?

Can only speak for SR, but I think you've done a great job on power choices and slots anyway

As you would probably gather, it is desirable to have all of the powers from the set, Aid Self is up to you, it has its good uses. But saying that you'll need to sacrifice two powers.

But as it stands, top notch

Nice power setup for the build, Rooks like

However, what I would do is postpone the Autos instead of the Epics then work Aid self into your build (I for one have it on my Claws/SR iirc @lvl 24 or summit), as it's such a missive boost to a defense based scrapper's survivability.

The double acc slotting I like, and generally the end redux/recharge added slots I agree with, however I for one have my Slash slotted 3 Acc, one Damage (just for fun ) and 2 Defense Debuffs. This adds to the likelihood of powers like Follow Up hitting foes, and is a great help if you are fighting defense based enemies in PvP, or allows you to hit non def based things almost all the time, however whether or not you choose to utilise the -Defense element of Slash, or use it as another attack in your chain, is up to you.

One of these days I may put up my own Claws/SR build for the forumites to use as flame material

Although Vigilant is only lvl 39 atm, I intend quite the uber future for him considering how much he pwns now + how much the buffs affect him in i7 (both to Claws and defense)

EDIT: Oh, also you might like to add some ranges to Focus and Shockwave, as it really helps in PvP (lots o' ppl try to run from teh Vig ), but if this matters less to you than the slots you would sacrifise for them, don't bother.

Lol what is it with people and ridiculously late Aid Selfs? :S

Surely if you can survive so much of the game without it there isn't much point...especially seeing as how early you can get it (mine got it at lvl 24, as I said before ), its like being an MM and only getting the 2nd tier pets at level 47 (when i7 comes out, those of you who wish to pick flaws in my logic...I know you're out there '/em paranoid' ) to a certain extent.

Speaking of Claws/SR, any opinions on mine? It is currently level 10 and this is my tentative plan. As you see I'm planning to go without Stamina. If needed I'll swap some of the recharges in attacks into endurance reductions, but I'm hoping the I7 Claws endurance discount will cover it. If not, well there's always the I7 freespec..

I know Strike would be a more effective choice than Swipe but the new I7 Swipe just looks so damn cool. I gotta say Swipe+Slash pair is feeling pretty gimped on live right now, though. Weapons Mastery is concept and stays.

Got some nice powers in there, however don't expect to be able to do that much before having to rest (about twice per one man mob sounds about right ), and considering teh Übahness of /SR in i7, you'll probably be fighting +2s and above in missions, so I would try to fit 2 accuracies in your attacks. Also, with Quickness, recharges in Follow Up aren't that imperative (in my opinion, may work though), as its pretty much perma without any, and I would think that spamming it too much would cut into your attack chain (not sure, just what I think), and maybe these slots could be better placed (more accuracies or maybe selling them to Lord Recluse for end ).

P.S. I'm also claiming this influx of Claws/SR scrappers to be due to my general immenseness, just so that everyone is up to speed.

I'd try and fit in aid self into your build, It is very useful

Definately take follow up, I'd slot it 2acc 3recharge with focused accuracy -you want it to hit everytime and up as often as possible in your attack chain for the extra damage.

Seriously in every claws build i think follow up is a must.
