Flaming Inferno - Rate my Fire/Therm build

Well, the 4th iteration of Captain Morgan (rad/dark now semi retired on my original account, fire/kin deleted at 16, ice/kin deleted at 10) is now a level 6 fire/therm, but this time I want to make sure the build makes sense, and fits my preferred playing style.

Mainly for PvE, but my new interest in PvP is a possibility (although I know it will mess up the slotting), so comments from both perspectives would be appreciated. Ideally I'd like something that can solo ok, be fantastic in teams, and able to handle those do-gooders in sirens/RV.

Here's my current thinking...

I've focused mainly on the secondary, as I enjoy the healing/buffing/debuffing side of things, then gone for a mix of single target and aoe goodness from the primary. I'm aware I will only have two attacks to 18, but providing I get the teaming love, this shouldn't be a problem (and I don't mind taking it slow to solo pre 18 every now and again).

I decided against forge, purely as I prefer having the option to resurrect in PvE, but could be persuaded otherwise if Forge is really worth it. Definitely took thaw, to supplement the mez resist options of the brutes and stalkers, and to give some to the doms/mm/corrs.

I would have liked assault/tactics in there, but suspect it might be a problem for end consumption, and didn't want to end up with only 3 attacks/miss out on the shields/debuffs.

What do you think - is this build capable of doing what I would like it to?

Just one question. Where is fire breath? It, combined with fireball, is what makes fire...well, fire

I'd say drop acrobatics and get Fire Breath, it'll help a lot in teams.

True, but many corruptors nowadays are taking leaping as thier travel power because of acrobatics, which can really help in certain situations. Damn knockback

so far I'm level 9 of the above build, and I'm not hurting too much from having only two attacks (i'm usually healing on a team at this point).

I would like firebreath, but not at the expense of acrobatics - spent too much time on my back already for my liking due to kb. If there is another power that can be swapped for FB, by all means, let me know - more AoE goodness is always fun.

ok heres my thoughts
Fire Blast has a recharge of 4 seconds but the acc is bad so 2 ACC 3 dam 1 recharge.
Cauterize will be a pretty big end drain so 1 end redux 2 recharge 3 heal.
Hurdle/Combat Jumping won't really gain much in jump height from the extra jump enhancers
Blaze you really want that to hit as its good damage so 2 ACC 3 dam 1 end redux
Blazing Bolt 2 ACC 3 Dam 1 Recharge/intRdx to taste
Heat Exhaustion/Melt Armour both need 2 ACC 3 Recharge atleast

Like max said fire breath and fire ball make a good AoE combo.
Fire/Thermal is end heavy btw

too many good powers! arggh!

And yes chelsea, I had noticed that it is a tad on the end heavy side :s

Still should be fun.

The two accuracies are a must for PvP, although you may find that you don't use your attacks much there - I know my Rad/Thermal doesn't. In PvP, Thermal's are really needed as support characters, and I find that end of things keeps me so busy that I rarely attack, past using Cosmic Burst to stun Blasters who are after me. If you tend to play in teams and like the support end of things anyway, that's likely the role you'll slip into, especially in Siren's where you don't yet have your two debuffs.

Forge is really good, especially in PvP. I'd get it. Not taking it, in my mind, is like having an Empath Defender not take Fortitude. I think I just have two recharges in it on my Thermal right now, and can keep it perma on a couple of teammates, althought you might want to check on the timing, since I've not played her for a bit and don't remember exactly. I'm planning on popping some tohit buffs in it for PvP, to help my teammates hit people using def-based powersets or def buffs. In PvE, the damage buff is nice, and it's really handy if you have a lower level on the team who's having a hard time hitting, or you're fighting something irritating like high-level Night Widows.

I don't know what you'd drop to take Forge, that said. In the new build I have planned, I'm leaving out Aim and my level 32 power on the basis that I don't chain enough attacks for Aim to be worth it (too busy!), and the last thing I want when I'm needed to keep the team alive is a big attack that risks pulling in aggro and leaves me with no endurance. What might work for you, since you want those, would just be to push one of your powers into the 40-50 range, if you don't want all four patron powers. With I7 on its way, unless you're a very fast leveller, those levels might well be opened up before you get there. Forge could make the ideal level 49 power if you really can't fit it in beforehand, since it doesn't need a lot of slotting to be worthwhile.
