Are there any active fun Supergroups out there?

Well, there is a pretty big RP VG out there. Can't remember what it's called though(something like EVIL, but not E.V.I.L who are a seperate VG)
I would offer you spot in my VG but, like many of the well established ones, It's a bit quiet at the moment as everyone waits for I7 and we have no active players in the lower levels.
There's a related thread HERE that you may want to look at with tips on how to pick a VG.
One thing I will say, don't give into the temptation to join one you see advertised over broadcast. You don't know the playters, they don't know you. These groups typically have little idea of how a real SG should function and are only interested in getting members to bump their prestige up.
We are also always on the look for more people to join the Darklords, we've finally managed to establish a pretty active VG with a large fully working base...Currently we have about 70 members, so would have to check to see if theres room or not.
Also it makes no difference to us weather your a r/p'er or not or if your new or not, all are welcome (only rule is not to pester the higher lvls for PL'in...happy to team up but dont expect an easy ride 
)
If ya intrested send a message to either @Dark Bru or @Chin, can generally find us on most evenings and would be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Well, I've teamed with a few of Bru's guys and chat to him on the leader channel and they've always been good people to team with so you can't go wrong there really
Hehe, saw your spoof VG broadcast the other day Kin while you were loitering outside the sirens flier. Made me chuckle 
The best advice I can give the OP is to a) check the RP board if you really want an RP VG, b) don't commit yourself to a VG until you have either teamed with a few of them, or spent a trial period with them. We try to make sure this happens in the Pirates of the Apocalypse, although it is tricky in the pre-i7 lull.

He he he, I now have it set up as a bind and automatically hit it when I see spam recruitment 
Definitely one of my pet hates. Quite funny as whenever I'm teaming with my VG mates who know what to expect they automatically groan as they know what's coming and ends up with me lecturing on the evils of broadcast spam recruitment
Okay..I can suggest the perfect roleplaying Supergroup (have a look at my signature.)
I believe we are the most active RPing Villain group at the moment, and I can guarentee fun or something that passes for it anyway).

Shame you guys tend to stick amongst yourselves - I have rarely ever teamed with any of you guys and gals

That's because Max isn't a real person but is actually a brain in a jar jacked directly into the internet .
the only time a post slips by him is when he's redirecting Nuclear warheads and hacking into the NASA computer system!

Damn people are onto me. I actually did spot this post with no replies and was very tempted to make a post however I couldnt remember the other EVILS website off the top of my head. They mentioned roleplaying which meant was perhaps more suited for a different sg which could accomodate this need much better than us.
Dont worry guys and gals, if someone posts they are looking for a supergroup I poach them first like normal. Infact I make sure I copy Kinslayers great post about his sg (he made a massive post a week or two ago) but change afew key words

We really need a sticky thread for active Supergroups.
Maybe with some sort of categorisation so people who only want to get involved in team PvP and have no interest in roleplaying know that group A is right for them, whilst those interested in Roleplaying and Teamed missions know SG B suits them better.
Perhaps if we asked for a short description and a list of priorities.. so for example my E.V.I.L. would list Roleplaying, Socialising and Teamed Missions as high priority, Strike Forces and Team PvP as medium, and probably Solo PvP as low. Under no interest we would list things like Powerlevelling and Street hunting.
I'm sure there are lots of things people do in CoH which aren't RPing, Socialising, Missions, Strike Forces, Team PvP, Solo PvP, Street hunting and Powerlevelling.. I probably missed some really obvious ones.

im sure i teamed with you once, although OOC (remember "where the hell do i know your name from? its stuck in my head, i know it but i got no clue why" :P )
and i was around with a couple of EVIL guys when E.V.I.L took siren's call a couple of months back.
I just tend to avoid PuGs like the plague, so i dont usualy get seen about much
