Mez suppression...

...whatever happened to this?

Found myself chain-held for an extended period of time in Siren's just a while ago. Definitely didn't have more than one, max two seconds of 'free time' between the chaining holds.

Inquiring mind wants to know... .

It's not very long, can't remember if it's 2 or 4 seconds, it's just enough time to take whatever action you want, then you can be affected again. If you have stacked holds/mezzes on you, suppression will stop them affecting you for that short time and then the mezz will kick back in even without more hitting you.

There's not many people who go into PvP zones without a number of Break Frees or Strength of Will, at least not more than once. Most times when I'm in a zone with Bilharzia I don't expect my Holds to work at all in most cases, I just assume people carry stacks of BFs.

Hmm, I seem to remember it being longer than that... but of course that could be just because the mez protection used to be more than a wet papernapkin .

Didn't take long for a Mind/ to stack enough holds on me to hold me through Integration, and then keep a lot stacked. Telekinesis is damn annoying - I think I need to slot some Ranges into Focus!

Was there more then one player holding you?

As far as I know two players can perma hold if the holds are timed filling in the others gaps. Though could be wrong. Also some mez effects do not count towards suppression of others, think for instance hold and sleep have seperate suppression.

Nope, one single Dominator - Domination not running - and nothing else.

That's perfectly possible, done this myself - stack holds on someone, keep attacking them, supression kicks in, they run away, I follow and a few seconds later the Hold kicks back in and they're Held again.

I dont remember the exact duration myself but imo it was like max 5 seconds.. It works the same way for knockback, stun etc, as far as I know.

Afaik it doesnt work that way, its more like the player who is getting held has protection instead of attacker having suppression.. But I could be wrong.

Pretty sure this is how it works, I remember being attacked by two Doms in Sirens, and mez-suppression kicked in even though their attacks chains meant holds were coming in at different times.
