Tenebrous tentacles
Any PvP'er worth his salt will have a resistance to holds, though some do have a higher mag than others. However, tents are an immob, not a hold.
Trying them on tanks and scrappers is generally a waste of time and if you're going to hold someone, you'll need to look at the other AT's. Defenders are normally buffed against holds so take a look at blasters as chances are the only in built mez resistance they have will be from the leaping pool.
2 AC is the minimum for any PvP power really but you may want to look at 3 for a hold if it seems ineffective. Recharges will also make a difference as you can overlap on the hold then until you build up enough to break the mez resistance.
A single hold will never break any mez resist in PvP but one or two can usually do the job against squishies with no mez buffs so recharging quick and stacking will be the key.
It's an immobilise and lots of players have either Combat Jumping or mez protection from their powersets, or both which will provide protection from this. They'll still take the damage, regardless.

It has a pretty good recharge, so I'd just say stack it over CJ.
Not sure. Could be the power or graphics suppressed or indeedily didily ho, they're protected from it. Telsa Cage runs on the same graphic settings I have all the time, and it will affect players, but it never shows the cage on the players, just npcs ??
Not sure if the PvP cone bug has been fixed yet, that would account for it not working on opponents without status protection. Basically all ranged cone attacks wouldn't/won't hit a moving target.

Probably that, it's bugged at the moment and turns on whenever you log in. Just go into options and turn it off, then zone. Of course it could just be that you've been trying it on tanks/scrappers or people with some form of immob protection as well.
Nope. I noticed on flying players chasing me that when I hit telsa cage and it landed, it made them fall down, cageless. However on me, I see everything that happens to my broken body, ie, blocks of ice holding me.
I've just started PvPing, and have yet to see tenebrous tentacles affect an opponent. I have it two slotted for accuracy and am wondering whether (1) it's bugged; (2) it's working, but the animation is turned off; or (3) players simply have an extra-high resist against it.
Any insight?
