Hello everyone,

I just got back from 1 year off the game and learned a bit about that ED patch changing a lot of things around...
I understood the 3 SOs enough for powers. However i was wondering if it was usefull now to put To Hit enh on Fortitude since i believe most of Blaster/Scrapper/ect.. have put some To Hit SOs on their power.
Tell me if i'm wrong, at the moment my fortitude is 3 SOs Def and 3 SOs Rech.

I think 3 recharge and 3 def buffs is generally considered the best slotting. Don't think many peeps put ToHit buffs on it

There were some numbers here a while ago, basicly base tohit buff maxes out your chance tohit up until a +5 minion. So we slot defence as it doesn't maxes out defence against a +5 minion.

I thought the base Def was high enough to bascially make slotting for Def buff was quite pointless, and the tohit was lower, and that's what it was best to slot for?

nope pretty sure it was the other way round. Drop it on the tank before he runs in. Makes a big difference to his survivability.

I went for 3 def and 3 def buff. Post ed I went for 6 def buff. I thought about to hit buff but decided not to bother after discussing it on this very forum. If I could just find it Id link it as there was some good info there about it.

I went for three recharge/three def for a long time, but recently changed to three recharge/two def/one tohit for PvP. It's a help there for trying to hit people with def-based sets, tohit debuffs, or force fields.

That's exactly what i went for, as there is a lower acc% in PvP.

For me its 2 Def and 2 acc buff, with 2 recharge in there.

Pop 3 slots in hasten (like most people do) and you can buff 3 heroes, with fort reloading just before fort drops from first person.

i only ever use my empath pvp and have 3red rec and 3def buff as def is far more useful and my team hardly ever if at all misses with just base acc fort

with my empath i have 3 recharge, 1 def buff, 1 tohit buff, and 1 tohit buff/def buff/end redux hami O.

i dont think that much of the def is needed as your healing alot of the time.

but heres some numbers:
(even lvl SOs)

Recharge:
0 SOs: 60 sec, 1 SO: 45 sec, 2 SOs: 36 sec, 3 SOs: 30 sec
(duration for fort is 45 secs, so 1 with 1 So you can keep it perma on one person)

To Hit Buff:
0 SOs: +30%, 1 SO: +36%, 2 SOs: +42%, 3 SOs: +46%

Def Buff:
0 SOs: +30%, 1 SO: +36%, 2 SOs: +42%, 3 SOs: +46%

End Cost:
0 SOs: 10, 1 SO: 7, 2 SOs: 6, 3 SOs: 5

and with my slotting:
(3 rch, 1 tohit, 1 def, 1 tohit/def/end rdx HO)

Recharge: 30 sec
To Hit Buff: +45%
Def Buff: +42%
End Cost: 7

Are you sure Orion? I can Fort two people without much issue on my Empathy Def (without hasten being up).

Those numbers are even level SOs

with +s, ++s, +++s and hasten you can easily have 2 people on fortitude.

Without hasten and 3 recharge reduxes I can get fortitude running on 4 ppl, although the 1st will expire before it's recharged again.

well, i used hero builder to get those numbers, so blame that if there wrong

They must be wrong, fort runs way longer than 45 seconds. 2 minutes maybe?

Just thought I'd give to hit chances for fortified people. This assumes they have slotted one ACC in their powers and the powers are 75% base to hit ( true for 90% of powers ).

So basically with no to hit buffs you are capping anything up to and including purples minions ( +4s ). I believe that Bosses and Lieutenants are generally as easy to hit as minions of the same level ( not the same colour ).

In light of this I believe that slotting defence is more useful than to hit as the to hit buff of Fortitude is good enough out of the box.
