I was taking another Co* break but am back now and will be on every so often. I'm finally going to do the 50 push with Quiller as well.
setback on the pc front, thought id be able to get on this week but turns out my 6600gt has given up along with my old motherboard - never putting coffee next to a mouse and above the back end of my tower again. want to make a new scrapper badly

talked to my g/f (begged as men with g/f know that is code for) and im hoping to get a system from dabs (self build) this month. a 64 3700+ should be a decent difference from my xp2200.
i heard that there was a badge going tomorrow, gonna miss it :| CoH wont even start with my g/fs pc (SIS onboard gfx)

cant remember, been a few month, think its around early teens, between 12-15. got an ice/ice tank around 10/11 too.
anyone know where you can get a cheap agp card that will run coh (not bothered about cov) well at min settings. Would something like a gf 4mc 440 / 5200 or ati 9250 do it? for compatability i think an agp4x card would be best for this board so im pretty limited.
what sort of price range are you looking at Vetis?

cheap as possible just something that'll run it on low to med settings. the pc I am on has sis unichrome IGP and COH wont even load. just need a basic card until i can get my own pc again. Might see if i can get on a different pc just to get the badge

looks great, never tried but would an 8x card work on a board that only says 4x in the bios? It does say agp 3.0 tho too.
8x AGp will work on a 4x AGP chipset just a little throttled back is all
cool will have to check the bank and see what i can stretch to! Dont wanna buy a lot of stuff as its only a bridge till i get a decent pc
there are some cheaper agp cards available but that one will run CoX happily on mid settings hope to see you in Paragon soon dude!
You mean like the £350 quid 'bridge' GPU that my brother just bought, because his 6800 ultra finally gave up the ghost in Blackwing Lair?
I say 'Bridge' because a full system upgrade is coming later in the the year when it's clear whether Conroe or AM2 is going to be the route to go...

Well, if it's any consolation, I played CoH for a good couple of months on my old 9600XT with no major problems, until the board itself died.
Replaced it with an X800XT PE which has done quite nicely for the last 14 months.
So, as long as you're OK with playing at 1024x768 without all the sliders maxed out, CoH should be fine. CoV on the other hand may require you to actively turn down some detail sliders

that sounds good, i dont play cov if i can avoid it so a basic card shouldnt be a problem, id use this onboard if it supported open glide..
i checked on the xfx site and they seem to have a good warranty thing for their cards so ive logged a ticket with their helpdesk to see if they can tell me whats up with the 6600gt card or if i can send it in for a repair/exchange. no answer yet
just ordered a cheap 9600 Pro, should do fine I think for COH.

the 9600 pro came yesterday, all installed and working fine. logged into the game for a few mins and got tons of bades (dunno what for). running on 256mb ram atm, getting another 512 this week. Made a BS/SR scrapper called Ghost of War
