/DA is fun because its a characterful set that not many people take. Fears always good fun. Its bad because of your horrible End costs, toggle heaviness, poor survivability compared to all Scrapper secondaries except for SR and the sound effects.
I quite fancy making a dark dark or a dark inv. But I already have a scrapper at 50 so that the only reason I havent. I may make him and play him on Union just as an excuse to be sociable. Im not sure yet.

hence the word NEARLY in the OP... agains Psi this would tank a lot better than a fire...
You might be able to do it D, cos your main is a /Dev blaster and so you are immune to the targetting drone noise. Dark Armor has really annoying sound effects - unless this has been changed in one of the recent patches.

i'm havin alot of fun with my kat/da scrapper at the moment. in the early lvls end can be a problem and i was constantly havin to use rest in between battles but once i got stamina and SO's (only 1 end red in all toggles at the moment) i dont really have any problems with it and can steam thru groups (need a few cabs for AV's tho) and thats with runnin hasten aswell.
biggest downside as mentioned is the sound effects and i'm not too keen on the gfx effects. spend all that time designin a nice character and it ends up lookin like a fuzzy black hairball

That Kat/DA scrapper - I'm afraid I can't keep up with my own alts never mind everyone elses. Seemed to be doing rather fine although I couldn't really tell - I was hiding at the back dropping M30s into the melee and aggroing everything on the map.

Just kiddin. I knew it was you - just hadn't made the connection that Phyria was Kat/DA despite the fact that you were 'arresting' those council by chopping them up with a big sword.

Once you get over 30 then dm/da will be a very nice build (exept for the noise) because you have protection against everything. And all the self heal +end and +dmg and acc is very nice for big fights.

Especially at high end it seems to be great, esp when facing Psi attacks of Rikti and co... is it as much of an send drain as it looks, it seems more a fear inspiring tank than a scrapper... comparable to a fire tank in its defence (nearly) Get in there, scare the world... drain their life and off you go.
Any thoughts? I can think of one lvl 50 Dark Scrapper who might have an opinion...
What makes this worth playing, aside from owning the record for End Reds in a build!
