Rad/Rad build, need some advice

Hello, having two Mastermind one 34 and the other in his mid 20's. Its time to try out other AT's! Never played CoH before so i have very little knowledge of all the different power set in the game either CoH or CoV.

Masterminds are very new player friendly at least thats how it was for me, not really any problem deciding wich power to pick up or how to slot them. But for other AT's i just can't make my mind up on wich power seems more useful and such..

I'm very interested in trying out a Rad/Rad corruptor I played a bit with a CoV character builder and came up with this.

If any Rad/Rad players feel like commenting and pointing out what i should change and why, then please say so! Thanks in advance.

RI is better slotted with 3 tohit debuffs and 3 defence debuffs.

if you plan on running both RI and EF, slot both of em with 2 end rdx at least.

i have EF 3 end rdx (no rech, it recharges pretty fast) and RI 2 end rdx, 2 tohit debuffs, 2 def debuffs. and i can nuter almost any AV/GM and survive

end is a bit of a problem, running both toggles is hard on your end if you want to fight (even with rad primary) AM sort of fixes the problem a bit, but you might need to slot with end reducers later on (i intend to put em in in the lvls 40-50, to make life easier)

I have RI slotted 3 tohit debuff, 1 def debuff and 2 recharge. EF is 3 end and 2 recharge. Get them both as soon as you can, they're you best tools!

You'll find they go down a lot when you fight mezzers, and it becomes really frustrating!

You could probarbly forget about x-ray beam, mind you it does have a huge cool factor!

Lingering radiation is super super awesome, and deserves 6 slots! 2 acc, 2 slow, 2 recharge.

If you're gonna use choking cloud it needs slotting for hold, otherwise don't bother, it's an aggro magnet.

Fallout is pants, too situational, unless you have a friend who doesn't mind faceplanting on demand. Put those slots into EMP, 1 acc, 3 hold, 2 rech. For PvP, a neat trick with EMP is to slot for end mod instead of hold.

Mutation is good straight out of the bag - stick with one slot, recharge.

I slot RI 3 to-hit debuffs, 2 defence debuffs and one end red.

I wouldn't recommend a recharge on EF - sure, it'll help it come up quicker, but it's a lesser debuff, not as important as the others. Stick that slot on LR.

Speaking of LR, 6 slotting is the way to go. It's an 'attack' (it doesn't deal damage, but it needs to hit the enemy to work), so 2 acc, 2 slow and 2 recharge will do nicely.

Choking Cloud, while it takes an age to come back up, is also a lesser debuff, and if you want to use it seriously, I recommend 3 end reds and 3 holds. If you're not six-slotting it, it's not worth taking.

Atomic Blast is unbelievably poor, in my opinion. The damage is pitiful and the range is non-existent. I'm getting rid of it next respec.

Fallout...when I hit 35, I logged on to CoH and searched for some rad defenders to find out what they thought of it. It turns out there are two types of rad defenders, the ones who avoided Fallout like the plague, and the ones who were warned about it, took it anyway and then respecced it out. I decided to become the former.

Finally, for EM Pulse I recommend 2 acc, 2 hold and 2 recharge. I can't see the point of slotting for end drain - enemies only need the tiniest amount to attack you, and they start regenning it as soon as you use it.

My defender only runs 1 acc in EMP, cause I use AIM first, allows 3 hold durations in it (not close to the 5 that used to be there, but its a start)

3 and 3 in RI runs alright so long as you run a couple of endreds in EF, EF uses more end anyway, and cant be enhanced in effectiveness anyway. I like getting the most from RI, and was 3 and 3 pre ED anyway, having tried 4 and 2 both ways.

I think I might have left the 4th one in for my Rad defender, not sure. do use it with AM and am trying to get the most I can from both. But it probably is a waste to be honest and it wont be there next respec
