In any case Id stick to keeping that private really your gonna upset people and get in forum bother. Not from other posters as getting your forum account reviewed by the mods possibly.
Bad stuff happens in life everyday, if you can't laugh about it and dont cry about it a lot of questions spring to mind.
It was mildy amusing, altho as stated a bit distasteful maybe :P
Well yes but I think sticking to shhowing your friends it would be safer. Im not saying my opinion on the thing itself. Just the choice to display it here.

True, but that doesn't mean that tragedies are a comedic free for all. No matter how bizarre a man's demise was, you don't crack jokes about it at his funeral. There is a time and place for laughing about things.
For the original post, here and now wasn't really either.
I don't see how it was a tradegy.
As far as I know, no one has been killed. Therefore, to me anyway, it's just a bad accident but thankfully no one was injured.
If he'd done this for something else where people were killed, yes, that would be tasteless. This is just a lickle iffy

If nothing we do matters, then all that matters is what we do. Let's go to work.

Huh. I haven't been following this case, only browsed the articles, so I actually thought people had been killed. I was mistaken (but it's a fair bit from "no one injured" too. 43 at last count, one in intensive care.)

Over forty people injured with at least two of them in critical condition.
Shall we all point and laugh at one of your family members when he or she gets hit by a truck, but isn't killed?

Harshly put but poinient. This is what I mean by keping it amongst your friends Colosseum. Your just going to offend some people needlessly. I dont know maybe that was your intention for [censored] and giggles but it is not really the time or place. Sorry to lecture you bud. I just knew this would be the reaction.
Hmmmmm... maybe you're right. In retrospect I prehaps should of waited a bit longer, say a week? or maybe a month? or perhaps a hundred years even? Please you could tell me what a good length of time would be before this event could be approached with humour? Is there a calculation I could use?
Or better still, as some of your buddies have pointed out, maybe this event shouldnt be dealt with at all. I mean, a number of people where injured.
You're right, any tragic event like this that involves death or injury is completely off limits to humour. Look at WW1, millions died there and nobody even dared approach that with .... oh hang on, retract that Black Adder Goes Forth had a pop ( I dont know how Richard Curtis can look at himself in the mirror ).
Ok then maybe World War 2, oh no there was Dads Army, geez that was sick, how can anyone find humour in a human catostrphy that cost millions upon millions of lives.
Its a human gift that we are the only living thing on this planet that can express humour and it is for this trate we are able to get over tragedy, learn from it and move on. ( ok some of us have had a humour bi-pass )
And would I think it was funny if a member of my family was hit by a truck? Of course not.
But if the ambulance drivers were The Chucckle Brothers, then probably.
I vote that they change the COH respec TF, I mean how distasteful that we're even contemplating a nuclear reactor going critical think about Chernobyl, a lot of people actually died in that disaster unlike this fire. And I think we need to modify the villain behaviour as well, mugging people? Crikey that happens every day, I'm sure nearly everyone knows someone affected by that. And lets not even think about bio-weapons and the horrendous things they have already been used for.
No I think it's for the best if the COH game could be changed to everyone sitting around and drinking tea ... assuming it's fair trade tea of course.
On the other hand, I thought that this picture was quite funny, i'm sure others agree but were too scared to say so because of the obvious backlash that was going to happen ... talking about backlash I had to wipe tea off my monitor after I saw this and spat it out laughing.
And if it helps yes i do live in the UK and yes I do know people affected by this. But I find if I don't make light of things like this I'd just find myself crying the whole time, life must go on.

Yeah... Well, the OP is a master as posting tasteless or inapropriate threads. I'm actually amazed he's still got an account considering an incident the other week...

...Floater, maybe you would like to censor all entries to the forum as to establish what is 'in good taste and apropriate'?
Orwells 1984 and Bradbury's Farenheit 451 sounds uncomfortbly close to your views.
Send me your email and I'll start filtering things through to you for approval.
You posted pictures of the Hertfordshire oil depot fire complete with super heroes making a joke of it. FFM and others said it was tastless and so this means that the imaginary worlds of 1984 and Faranheit 451 have come to fruition?
Run for the hills everyone, we're DOOOOOOOMMMMEEEEDDD !!!!!
Finding something tasteless or inapropriate has nothing to do with wanting it censored. Cracking jokes about major incidents such as this one is just, quite frankly, unfunny...

I'll pass... I've seen the material you consider appropriate for a forum where children are present...

Okay, flames off.
Humour is an extremely personal, and subjective, topic, and while I don't want to turn the Forums into somewhere where politically correct topics are the only accepted ones, you're now all off arguing about taste - and that's just going to lead to personal abuse.
Locking this now. Everyone should try and retain both a sense of humour, and a sense of perspective when reacting to / posting humourous 'stuff'.
Always listen to youre boss otherwise:
