What are people's thoughts on this for PVP Useful for Henchmen or not worth it?

IMHO as Nec / Poi

It's not worth it for PvP. The Lich looses his momentum, and can't use half his abilities due to flying... Good for catching thoes flyers though....

Still ... I'm not the one to answer, as I don't really pvp that much yet... Since MM's are not that good at it... heehe

In mass PvP, MMs are very very good! The general confusion means people won't be running away from you as much as in one on one PvP.
Just try not to get killed and let the pets do their thing!

My Necro/Dark build has group fly. It is useful for the odd moments that your pets won't use stairs or you have several floors to go up and can't be bothered finding the stairs. However something I didn't realise until it was pointed out to me. It still has a -ACC. So you maybe able to chase the fliers. You just can't hit them. I will be dropping it in a respec. Much more usefull powers to be had.

I did have group fly and res-pec'd out of it - it was occasionally useful and looked really cool, but the bots couldn't keep up and kept falling out of the field which led me flying backwards half the time.

Luxury power at best.

well, call me crazy but I kinda like it on my robos in pvp, for the -acc I got acc enhancers on my bots and I often team with someone who has tactics running so that kinda takes care of the -acc. However I would only take it on henchmen that have their power in ranged attacks (mercs, robos). It also helps in 1 v 1 pvp if your opponent hasnt got fly, cause you can force him to focus on your pets instead of run for you, after all you'll be out of his reach.
The only prob indeed is that sometimes pets dont keep up so you have to tune your movement to it

I rather fancied group TP for a mastermind - with a couple of players, both with grant invis, invis everybody up, TP right next to your intended victim and let your minions go to work.

Of course you can get much the same effect from TP foe, I just thought it'd be cooler having an army of the undead turn up all around some unsuspecting sap and vomit all over him.

Well on the one hand for my 27 Bot/Dark MM its kinda funky since the Bots get a unique animation for Group Fly (of jetboots) it loooks awwesome. The other pets just look onconfortable in flight..hehe
Summary: Group fly is +cool with bots!

im not sure y ppl keep saying tht GF has acc penalties, iv not noticed and penalty to my or my henchmen when i had it. GF is good for MM that have henchmen that use ranged as the main attack (mercs and bots)and the only benifit to others is the extra speed it alows ninjas and undead to get to the target. The only reason i dropped it was coz of all the moaning i got from other players when i teamed with them (personally i think there should be an option like the one u get with recall friend so u can opt out of its effect).

Ok i know back in beta i was warned away from it, as i was just a few short of 20 to give it a try myself.. but i took it anyway.

Experiances?.. well it has its advatanges and disadvantages.

Firstly it sucks with pets AI (well, zombies anyway, not sure about the rest) as with 4 pets summoned they seem to stop every few meters and end up lagging behind and leaving range. It makes zone travel incredibley long, so u wouldnt use it to get from A to B unless the protection is essential (alot of flying mobs/pvpers around). Its also hard to keep any endurance once all your blighters are leeching off ya.

On the upside it really is alot of fun.. the sight of zombies dive bombing to a targeted enemy is never tiresome to witness. It is also very usefull for CoVs seemingly most adopted mission zones, the open area instances. You can fly your entire group of zombies (along with teammates and any pets they may have) right across the map to your targets.. i.e the cape mission. Its also amusing watching other MMs have thier fun in your little flight bubble with thier pets.

i'd speculate it is handy for PVP especially if you have the invisiblity pool, you'd be able to come from any direction. Although for a strict charector template you'd most likely have a better power to choose from.. its probably somthing you'd buy if you had nothing better to get.

they indeed tend not to keep up with you, to solve this just keep sending them a few feet ahead of you with the goto command, they will then speed up and you can keep up with them instead of vice versa

second of all, just put 1 or 2 end reducers in it and your end drain wont be so bad

Besides, Group fly doesn't drain extra pr. person that uses it... Dunno where you get that from...

But as for crossing zones, it's worthless really... In some instances in PvP or PvE it's great though, but not too great...
