1. he would have a 95% chance of hitting you, as this is the cap. It would be verrry difficult to achive 130% accuracy in PvP though, since the base accuracy was lowered to 50% from 75%.
2. For attacks with multiple damage types the best defense is used and applies to all the damage. e.g. if you have 30% S/L and 5% fire an attack which did both fire and S would have a 30% defence applied. If it hit you would take both fire and S damage. If it missed you would take no damage.
2. Gauntlet has no effect in PvP. Taunt has a 50% chance of making your opponent switch targets to you.

From looking over ice I think it could do with a "real" final power I was thinking an armour that gave 10% defence and 10% resistance to all at 0.30end cost...dont think that would be too overpowering would perhaps make ice more popular choice
I'm afraid the developers have shown a marked reluctance to do anything to significantly improve ice. It all boils down to statistics. Statisticly Ice does as well as other Tanker sets against even con minions, therefore it is officially "balanced". It just does really badly against anything significantly more accurate than an even-con minion. On the bright side it is slightly better than other tankers when fighting minions who are lower level than you.

Well.. from looking at other tankers my level Ice seems to come off worst even against the same level as resistances are so much better than defense. Oh well I still enjoy being different
In the case of damage per second 5% def is about equivelent to 10% res if the mob has a base 50% chance of hitting you. Defense also enables you to avoid status damage and some mez effects.

Ice Armour was, until recently, very easy to accidentally gimp - even now there are still choices you can make that will seriously affect the survivability of your toon if you're not careful.

haven't played my ice tank since i4, is it worth bringing him out of retirement you think or should I just leave him hibernating?
Just remember that you can only leave him hibernating for 30 seconds now

While I agree that the Devs have been reluctant in making significant improvements one of the best powers to have in Ice armour nowadays is Energy absorption. Not only do you get extra defense with it you can also regain endurance you may have lost. Its been a lifesaver many a time with my Ice Tank since I6 came out with the ED.
But yeah in the past, like Spad said, Ice was so easy to mess up thanks to slotting defense and damage resistance. I almost gave up on my Ice tank because of it but now Ice is only able to slot defense (except for permafrost which is a useless power anyway) so she's a lot better now than what she was.
Just some questions I need answered fore I level my toon:-
1. If a blaster has like 130%accuracy from slotting and I have 30%defense will he then 100% hit or does his 130% accuracy become 100% and then he has 70%chance of hitting?
2. If some does fire+lethal does my smash/lethal defence effect only the lethal half or both? and if I have fire defence also do the smash/lethal and fire defence add up to make defence against his attck?
etc.. he hits me my dfence to smash/lethal is 30% and my defence to fire is 5% I have 35% to his attck?
3. What does taunt do in pvp?
