I'm sure the supposed ideal team is a pentad with 1 of each AT?
I suppose Blasters and Scrappers are interchangeable in a team like that as they're both damage dealers. Just depends on if you like to deal damage from afar or up close.
not seen you online under your main but I'd be interested in filling a blaster or defender role....
While this is an interesting idea, what happens if one person has to leave or 1 person can't make it at a certain time? What happend if 1 person is playing an alt and starts a TF and doesn't want to leave? it's a good idea, but ultimately it's not going to work.

The idea is the characters would be created from lvl 1 and each member would only play with that character as part of the team. We would only choose players who are able to make the commitment as we understand it would not be possible for every1. The idea behind no scrappers is that Blaster have a higher capacity for damage especially AoE. If it is done well we would not need the defensive powers of a scrapper as a gd tanker should be able to cope with the aggro.
This would be a good idea for doing TF's too as you could log off and rejoin it another day without having to try to do it in one night as you only play together anyway
Just to update we're still looking for 1 more person for the team. As current members are flexible it would be for either a stone tanker, earth/kinetics troller or Empath Defender. If ur interested send me a pm as we are looking to get underway this sunday 27/11.
Wow very specific team, Stone tanker, understood on that point......... dont think you can do without an empath? hmmm, hardly an epic team I feel if has to be certain powersets. Surely any defender played well would fit..... hell if you had a kinetics defender you wouldn't feel the need for the kinetics part of the troller.
You could think of having a Sonic in one and a FF in the other and give def and res to the team? Or ever two kins, double speed boost is lovely, or rad, yeah double AM, AM and speed boost. Dark defender, rad secondry for controller, total debuff to the foes, defender can hold and get pet..........
good luck with it anyway, but it looks a bit like a cookie cutter team to me.

If this is being made with PvP in mind get any other defender appart from an empath, you may as well strap a bullseye and a kick me sign to the poor sod. 
I think the point was that the team will have all of those AT options in it but as the team is flexible in what each person wants to play then the new person can choose which of those they want to play themselves.
The team is going to be pure PVE from what I gather so the emp def will be fine and welcomed I'm sure 
The main aim is PvE and the thinking being that the team would be flexible enough to cope with anything. Also the idea that it would be purely team based meant that we tried to think of powersets that would combine well. Stone Tank because they have gd all rnd defense and are basically unstoppable. Earth/Kinetics troller gd mix of aoe holds to bring fire blaster/s into the mix plus kinetics is the mutts nuts 
Empath defender to be honest is more an insuance policy and if we reckon we wouldn't need it we would probably shift things about. Another important poin once we find a final member we will finalise what combos we want. Nothing is set in stone, other than the tanker and we are very open to better suggestions. So please 1 more person who wants to try and get to 50 purely as a team lend us ur superheroie gdness!!

We're looking to put together a new PvE team on Defiant. The team will only ever be online together, no solo play just pure teaming. The aim is to reach lvl 50 as a team in as short a playing time as possible. Team members will only ever play together, all power choices are made by the team and slotted for the team. We aren't looking for a team of elite players, just a bunch of players for an elite team
