Went against some Malta for the first time with Graham since I6 tonight, now as far as I recall rooted used to give a huge res to end drain? Sappers were barely noticeable… 4 shots tonight and I was out of end and perma held...

Just me or another nerf?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't this be an effect of the ED system? - Sounds like it to me is all...

shouldnt be, rooted cant be slotted for res, only heal, end red and recharge red. basicly intergration with added end drain res, as far as I can see. oh and added sllloow...

edit: I should add, in I5 i rember sappers hitting but having no effects, or barely noticeable anyway. so i dont think its down to lower def on granite from ED...

Four or so shots would have done it before ED as well. It seems to be threshold based resistance - you get no End drained at all for the first few attacks, but too many close together and you get hit full force. It's happened like that ever since the End drain resistance was introduced in I4 - quite a shock the first time your End plummets.

What Tundra said. Basically, Resistance only works up to a point. Thats a lot of End drain you had on you there, maybe it beat the Resistance.

Or maybe the smeggers just got lucky.

Anyway, try playing something that has no End Drain Resistance and no Defense until you get into the mob.

It was only the 1 sapper (as far as i noticed anyway), must have just been me i guess! i just seem to reacall in i5 laughing at a sapper that couldnt touch me...

oh, and I did that with both Ian and Fred, not fun!

Well,there are claims in the us-forums that mezzprotection for scrappers and tanks were reduced (from 10 application before held/stunned/drained to 4 or 5 - for Scrappers from 5 down to 3).
If that is true it might be the explanation.

It's the same with the Rikti Chief Mezmerizers and the Lost Abhorrent Rectors, even with Tsoo ink men. Get too many of them around you (this was I5, btw) and bam, everything drops, not even rooted could save you.

Oh well, I guess it'll teach us for not really REALLY specifically hunting only those gangs which pose us no problems.
