Efficient method of farming for purples?

Use a character that can mow down large numbers of minions/LTs quickly and efficiently, get a mission full of mobs that are relatively easy to kill (Nemesis a good choice for villains, BM guys for heroes)
Then to up the spawn count you can do one of several things. You can either just run it solo on the second or fourth difficulty so you get larger spawns or you can get fillers each run.
Another alternative is getting a few friends to bring characters they don't plan on playing a lot into an Ouroboros arc that has your farm mission in it, then having them log off. The mission will still spawn for the teamsize, even if you're the only person online.

47's are easier to beat than 50's. If you know what mission you're going to be farming at 50, get it around 46. Farm it relentlessly. The recipe drops except for purples might be anywhere from 47 to 50, but you'll be able to clear the map in less time per run.

Hmm my Spines/Regn is at perma 47 I may have to try and get her a mission, lvl to 50 and try that.
I got a demon farm at 47 and when its on inv the mobs are 49's so my 50 fire/kin blazes thru them. Ish 16 will make it alot better.
My search-fu has failed me, anywho wish to see if I can get anywhere with purple farming given the shortage going on on the market...Any ideas for a fairly efficient way/location/etc blah blah for doing so?
