Help me with my tabs

So all of a sudden I'm in a supergroup, and also on VU2009, and on Virtue LFG Alpha, and...

Anyway, my chat tabs are a complete clusterbuck. And no matter how I try to arrange and organize the channels, it always ends up sucking and hurting my brain.

So please, share your chat tab configurations. I need inspiration, or something.

You can create more chat windows and detach them. Put a different global in each detached chat window and put them where you want. N.B. This works best with a widescreen monitor.

I use global almost exclusively. I haven't changed my tabs much from the default.

Upper window is: rewards, NPC banter, broadcast, consignment house, request, global notification (GM notices and whatnot), and my global channels

Lower window is: team, local, SG, Coalition, PMs

I have it set up like that so all the information I need is in the upper window, which I can ignore if I choose, and the chat channels I'm paying more attention to are in the lower window, where I can see the important strategy bits of conversation without it getting swallowed by global channels and broadcast.

Also (you may not have noticed) in the Options menu, at the bottom of the General Tab (? pretty sure) are two buttons for saving and loading chat tab configurations. If you have at least one character who has all their chat tabs just that way you want them, save those chat tabs and then just load them for every character.

That option and window placement save/load have saved me immeasurable amounts of time. 2 great QoL additions.

In addition, the command /chatsave will change how those chat tabs are populated, even to the colors you use.

/chatload will load them, such as if you zone and lose colors or load up a new toon.

If you haven't joined a global channel, you're not really looking for team.

Note, if the chat server seems to be going nuts, I recommend making a /chatload macro.
