Fire/SR AV Build
Well here is my Fire/SR Guide
Here is my new build that I solo AV with. It is almost like the last build in my guide but I switch the attack chain. The attack chain is Incinerate/Scorch/Cremate/Scorch.

Thanks for the reply.
That is a very interesting build. Have you taken down a pylon with this current build? I am curious what DPS you can pump out.
The Incin>Scorch>Cremate>Scorch chain is 170 dps.

I have not solo a Pylon yet with this build, I'm too lazy right now , but as Gaidin said it should be around 170DPS.
Also I use this attack chain now because it as better DPE then Inc/GFS/Cre/FS.
Is there a chain that uses GFS as the only sword attack with more DPS?
Incinerate -> Greater Fire Sword -> Cremate
But it's not a cheap build by any stretch of the imagination. It requires much higher recharge and burns through endurance somewhat faster.

How about if I add Scorch?

That's doable. It'll take +153% recharge in Greater Fire Sword. You lose about 5% DPS for about a 3.5% reduction in EPS and require one more attack be slotted up.
Compared to the Incinerate -> Scorch -> Cremate -> Scorch chain, it does 6% better DPS but requires 10% more EPS, 8% more recharge, and slotting up one more attack.
But if you want to use Greater Fire Sword, don't want Fire Sword, and want only medium recharge requirements, that's probably the chain for you.

Ah, yes, that was a bit confusing. I meant the one you proposed: Incinerate -> Greater Fire Sword -> Cremate -> Scorch. That should do the trick for meeting your requirements.

Sounds good. I will try to put this together real soon and let you know how it goes.
I don't know if I will ever be able to take down a pylon.
*sigh*
Maybe I will have more luck vs an AV that is scared of fire.
Looking at the other Fire/SR build on this thread, it's a good one, but i'm going to post mine just if you want to see another one.

Pros:
Cheap, cost me about 100 million if you don't include the LoTG (Probably costs less, i noticed a lot of my sets i used are worth much less nowadays). I recently added the LoTG recharges because i got a little more money for them. You can just replace them with defense IOs if you want.
Effective, i've soloed a good amount of AVs with it (Including a rikti pylon without inspirations)
Not very high on endurance cost, when i tackle AVs, i bring 2 blues at most just in case, Conserve Power usually recharges fast enough.
Also well rounded, this build is effective on teams with fire sword circle. I spend a lot of my time on teams with my Fire/SR, see my health decrease less than any other scrapper, and see my name the most on the "<Name> has defeated enemy" text.
Cons:
Accuracy, you have a 95% chance on lvl 50 AVs, but anything you fight at lvl 52 gives you about an 88-90% chance tohit, which is just annoying
Recharge, it's fast, but not fast enough to chain Incin>GFS>Cremate. With hasten you can do that, but without Hasten you have to include Fire Sword
No travel power, not a big deal if you only care about AVs, but going from map to map is a pain. You can get Swift instead of Hurdle and put run speeds in sprint, swift, and quickness. That makes you run almost as fast as Speed Boost.
Thanks Craigen, for the build.
I think I took down Mother Mayhem but I'm not sure. It took a whopping 7mins.
Anyone have a ball park DPS for that?
Well for 7min fight that would be 420 sec
If she had 28270 hit points like most AVs do
28270/420+94.24=161.5 DPS

I guess that explains why I cant take down a pylon.
When I get the courage I will post my exact build for you guys to tear up.

Ahh, no build is perfect. All i did for mine was work for 45% defense and a little endurance reduction, and it packs a good punch. For the pylon though, make sure all attacks have over 90% damage in enhancements, and make sure recharge is high enough to use atleast Incin>GFS>Cremate>Fire sword, which isn't too hard. It takes a while too, took me around 18-20 minutes.

161.5 DPS should translate into a 19 minute Pylon run, plus or minus.

Level 2: Rest -- Empty(A)
Level 1: Critical Hit
Couple tips using Mids' first. Don't export set totals or the set breakdown, and also use the short forum export. Keep in mind that most people who will offer you help also have Mids and will just import your build into it to take a look.
Now as for your build, it's not terrible certainly but it can be improved substantially. This is your build with a few tweaks, nothing too costly change-wise either. This trades in the extra defense and recharge for more hitpoints and quite a bit more regeneration. It does sacrifice a bit of accuracy as well but with SR you're a bit more free to slot your attacks as necessary, hence the frankenslotting in Cremate and Incinerate.

Looks pretty good.
I guess I should really consider dropping Scorch for Fire Sword to increase my DPS. Right now I am really not satisfied with the performance considering the influence I spent.
Is it possible to calculate the DPS of some of the different attack chains?
Edit* I took your Mids' advice. Thanks again.
The attack chain of Incinerate -> GFS -> Cremate -> Fire Sword was calculated to be 185 dps if I remember correctly. Also one more thing to note about that build I posted. You can run that attack chain for roughly 5 minutes before going dry. However if you pick up Portal Jockey and Atlas Medallion that time shoots up to a bit over 34 minutes.
i can also post my build even tho its just in a different thread which i can link, here - http://tinyurl.com/kncv69
i also use the same attack chain as norse
Below is the build I've been using, it's pretty cheap, and could probably be made a little cheaper, and though I'd love more damage, it has bo End issues whatsoever, and Aid Self for when those lucky shots stack up.
like I said, it's not perfect, but it did manage to solo Hro'Drotz today, no temps, no inps, sure it took three attempts, but she did it.
anyway, the build -->

Can someone work up a fairly cheap Fire/SR build that is capable of taking down some AVs? By "fairly cheap" I guess I mean no purple/PvP IOs. Maybe around 200mil influence but the cheaper the better.
This may go without saying but just in case... I'm hoping to build a soft-capped - decent recharge (60ish global recharge including Quickness) AV killer with enough DPS and endurance management to survive a drawn out battle with the usual suspects.
Is this even possible? Without purple IOs and hitting the upper limits of global recharge?
Thanks in advance.
