Rad/Dark COR Build Critique
1- are u that disastra person?
2- its definitely worth gettin kb prot on any toon so stick with that.

2. even at the cost of not being able to keep toggles up and attack back or hit as hard?
I don't worry about knockback that much. The most important thing for my /dark is +recovery and +acc.
What percentage zones, arena?

zones - 0%
arena - 100%
well i was that dom you fought ( not to be obnoxious) and beat you 8-0 or something . Kb helped me do that a lot. Blasters who use power thrust will also give you that problem. I would see you build but im on a mac so no go.

And i think your the only one who has done that to me really, against build #1. No other mind/fire has been able to come close to thrashing(actually i think you might have been the first to beat me) me like you did. But like I said in that duel, it was your attack chain combo that was giving me fits (was unable to land a heal at the beginning or end of your attack chain.(kb,placate, leaping out of perception range being the culprits), and after falling behind like 4-0 i was just playin on tilt. You're actually the reason why I respec'd...then i got thrashed by an ill/therm with this new build, because i couldnt keep my toggles up, even though elec/therms havent posed a problem in the past, this ill/therm shut off my ability to keep my toggles up and keep my attacks constant, with non pb holds and perma he.
havent had any problems with blasters w/power thrust since they can't confuse or tk me nor can they do the same amount of dmg that doms can do...especially doms that double stack PR and hit me at will.

Only twilight grasp, DN, howling twilight, shadow fall (optional), and fearsome stare. Fearsome is all accurate to hit debuff, and darkest night is max to hit debuff mixed with end reduction. Howling is slotted a couple with stun and range.
The most success I've had while dueling in zones is leading with howling twilight then fearsome then darkest night. I have Mako so a res based armor, but my ranged def is about 15 (DR'd).
The trick with doms and controllers is to not let them hit you at all, so instead of screech, you lead with a to hit debuff and hope for the best. Of course, if I spec'd for the arena, I might go BS for def shield, or soul for pb.

my windows is bugged:S .. anyways well blasters would still put out more dmg imo. And yeah ill/therm gives any toon major problems with all the retargetting plus having to kill someone with perma HE on you is hard(especially if you keep retargetting the decoys and phantasm). Plus since you are playing with heal decay off nothing short of a dom or blaster will be able to kill a therm, one which u keep switching targets on and getting confused against. I would not take that loss to badly because that is probably one of the best dueling builds out there atm. And the kb prot will be so much more helpful because doms are running loose at the moment and 90% of them have kb. Oh yeah and mind/ill have that lousy [censored] placate proc ( i use it but i do hate it, wish it wasn there tbh) which is soooo bugged so yeah.
oh yeah and you can afford to have about 44 kb totally counting acro. 35 if its just levitate that bothers you. So that means you can remove some of the crappy(sorry) slotting in some powers like kin crash and stuff. Pick up the laser eyes power instead of the aoe. Stuff like that
I think I jacked up my build last night....Got 1 respec left. My first build, did reasonably well against all the current fotm's, however I was getting tired of getting tossed around like a rag doll so I went and got 38 kb protection. After doing that last night, my stats in HP, DMG, Recovery, and Mezz Resistance took a hit. Most noticeably my Recovery and Mezz Resistance just isn't what it was, i can barely attack, heal,keep toggles up and mezz(holds) last longer then I'd like....just so I wouldnt get KB'd....thinkin about going back to build 1, which was at least survivable even though i'd get kb'd. Should I try incorporating some pvp io's?
