Blue and Yellow Mitos in AE

So has anyone figured out how to fight these? I'm lost on any type of group configuration that would even remotly be able to fight these. I've tried with my FF defender, but the blue mito's endurance drain attacks are unresistable. The yellows damage is unresistable and all the do is AoE attacks, and the area they hit is huge. I've tried 3 different group configurations, and each one wipes in the first 20 seconds on the first group.

It's probably easier to fight a spawn of only giant monsters than these things.

I would think the blues could be taken by a team of end-drain-resistant types (elec armor, anyone?), can't recall what they're vulnerable to right offhand.

The yellows are quite weak against melee. Fighting them at range will get you facedown, but a bunch of scrappers/brutes hitting them up close will make them go poppity.

The combination of blue and yellow would lock the mish out to pretty much elec brutes and stalkers.

I may, however, be mistaken on the details or the implementation... which I've only presented in a general sense. I'll leave it up to the players/AE designers to find out the answer as an exercise.

Blues have huge AoE and melee defense (huge meaning enough to make a heavily buffed character still have 5% chance to hit) and Yellows have huge ranged and AoE defense. You'd pretty much need a very well balanced group with both ranged and melee toons that know what they need to do.

Blues: A blaster if its a lone blue should do fine. For groups, A tanker, an Empath, and a few Blasters/Defenders. The damage isn't that impressive from these, any healing should do. What you really need is fear protection and ranged damage.

Yellows: A Regen Scrapper should be able to crush a lone yellow or even a pair. For groups, A Tanker (self healing, high regen prefered), an empath or two and a pack of Scrappers. The damage from these is beastly, as is the stun, regeneration and healing are the only ways to survive. Melee damage crushes them just fine.

You could also try a Mind controller against either for attacks that ignore the Mito's positional defense.

Just to chime in on this, there IS a way to get resistance to Mito/Hami damage. Essence of the Earth (EoE) inspirations will provide resistance for a short time. Sorry but I don't know the numbers. These can be had from the markets, or you can get a team together and kill Devouring Earth "Monsters" which are the only natural source.

It's not how many times you get knocked down that count. It's how many times you get up.

For what it's worth, my level 50 scrapper was able to take out a Blue Mito in an old arc by using several purple inspirations, staying at long range, and plinking it to death with the veteran Nemesis Staff.

It CAN be done, but the fact that there's such a trick to fighting these things would prevent me from putting them in a mission unless I specifically designed and described it for players as a game design exercise rather than a story thing. I'd also make sure to give information in the mission description AND the arc description about how to fight the mito.

Bottom line? Almost certainly more trouble than it's worth.
