The other key point is turnover, if you can make 20M on an IO but it might sit there for a week, you might be better off crafting something for 1M, selling for 7M and shifting 3 a night if you have the spare auction house slots.

I have 3 niches, craft for 1.2, sell for 7, craft for 8, sell for 20, both usually sell in a couple of days, and craft for 25, sell for 50 or so but might sit around for a bit.

The salvage is free via tickets and the total crafted cost is less than your high-end number.
edit: is a bit less than your high-end number for recipe cost.

I am buying [censored] recipes for [censored] inf. I craft them and sell them for [censored] inf... so.... about 7400% profit.

Am I doing good?

And for the life of me... I haven't figured out why you evil market guys/gals haven't come in and stole this gig from me.

Hi FluShots....
Fair enough.... it's greater than 10,000,000 and less than 20,000,000 per transaction. That is as close as I am going to get ya.

I still think this [censored] recipe has some play in it... at least until someone steals it from me.

So if I am doing my math right then you are buying a recipie for between 135,135 - 270,270 and selling the crafted IO for $10,135,135 - $20,270,270.

Does your 7400% return include crafting costs, salvage costs and listing/selling fees?

So we are ignoring salvage costs but what about crafting costs and listing costs? And from your edit the recipe cost is around $200k and the total sale price of the IO is <$20M, correct?

I'll find this one yet ... (but I won't advertise it. I'll send you a PM...)

You're wasting money buying salvage with tickets. You make much more spending your tickets on bronze rolls, selling those, and buying salvage with cash. Saying "salvage is free with tickets" is the exact opposite of what is really the case.

I don't want to sound like more of a dick than I really am (oh yeah, I am one!) but it doesn't really depend at all. The most you can reasonably hope to get for your commons on average is like 50k each. 9 commons (okay let's say 10 just to make the math easy) = 1 bronze roll. If you're making more than 500k per bronze roll on average (and I am), you're throwing money away by rolling common salvage.

Agreed. However, BC might be thinking the convience factor outweighs the opportunity costs. I can't say I think the same myself but maybe that's his thought process.

I agree for the most part. But..... in the case of rare salvage... doing a few AE missions will get me enough tickets for that piece of savage. Running a few regular missions won't get me enough inf.

Sure, but your inf per ticket is actually worse on rare salvage than common! 400 for a rare salvage worth is 5 bronze rolls. You MAY get less than 1m inf on 5 bronze rolls, but you'd have to have MY luck to roll that badly.
