Looking for missions
You can have up to 3 open missions, so you can get a new mission. If you don't have any more contacts, I would guess you have some detective you can see for getting a radio, and then do radio missions.
But I wonder, what level are you, and why do you need a team to complete your missions?
There are only a couple of missions I can think of where you absolutely must have a team to be able to complete them and they are both those kind that have multiple clickies that need to be clicked simultaneously. You can't possibly have both of these at once because they are of different level ranges. What level are you? What missions are you doing?
Until you answer those questions I can only say that you can also do Radio missions (you get a Radio from the local Detective in zones from Kings Row and on) until you get a Safeguard mission (this takes 3 Radio missions at level 5-20 and 5 thereafter). After you Save the Bank you will be introduced to a new contact in that zone. Then you can do his/her missions too.
Thanx. I'm lvl 13 and the 2 missions I have are Frostfire in the Hollows and the Sewers (forgot which section). I tried and I think Frostfire (hope that's the right name) is do-able solo at a higher level than it's designated for but still hard. The Sewers require 5+ groups. I got radio but it requires knowing the contacts already, doesn't it? I seem to be getting the same contacts on the radio and they're still waiting for me to complete the missions I already have.
Frostfire is solo-able at the level you get the mission, but not by everyone. It's quite difficult.
As for the other mission, "The Sewers require 5+ groups." I'm not sure what you're talking about. Nothing requires 5+ on the team except some Task Forces and if you were on a task force, no other contacts would even talk to you.

A lot of missions send you into a sewer map... that's not the same thing as "running the sewers" in Atlas Park or wherever.
Missions that take place in the sewers are instanced, and will be scaled to an appropriate difficulty based on the size of your group, so if you go in Solo, the spawns should be manageable.
In any event, if you're level 13 and you'd like soloable missions, get out of the Hollows, go to Steel Canyon, and run a few missions from your police scanner. If you don't have a police scanner -- it should be at the top of your contact list -- go talk to your police contact and he'll give you one.
Once you've done three of those missions, you can do a safeguard mission for the detective (stop a bank robbery) and once you've done that, he'll give you access to other contacts.
One other thing that sounds like it might be confusing you is the contact menu itself. If you see the picture of the radio at the top, click on it, and it'll give you missions to choose from. That is, the radio itself is a contact.
This is different from being able to call your human contacts, which you'll be able to do after doing a certain number of missions for the particular contact in question. Once that happens, a blue "call" button appears near the contact's picture.

Thanx. I was confused about the radios. I found a group for Frostfire and all the mobs were scaled up. Lots of fun. Didn't know about the scaling feature. So my question is answered.
I'm a relative noobie to CoH and wondering about the missions system. I have 2 missions now and both require a group. Of course I may well be able to find a group but I'd like some missions where I can do solo. The 2 contacts I know aren't giving me new contacts and it'll be 2 days before I can cancel a mission. Am I stuck with my known contacts having to give me more contacts? I think I have room for another mission if I can find one. What should I do? Thanx.
