Char in 5 slots?
QR
Completely ignoring prices/availability, the best frankenslotting for percentages (IMO) is gonna be:
Neuronic Shutdown: acc/hold/rech
Essence of Curare: acc/hold/rech
Ghost Widow's Embrace: acc/hold/rech
Basilisk's Gaze: acc/end/rech/hold
Lockdown: acc/end/rech/hold
Which gets you roughly 90/34/90/90 a/e/r/h.
Keep in mind that there are diminishing returns on endurance and recharge effectiveness, so I would put those at a lower priority than acc/hold.
Considering I'll have 27% or 30% global acc in my build, then, I should probably go with my original slotting, since either way my accuracy will be out the roof and my slotting has 96% hold.
But, I'll definitely think about your slotting.
As an aside, which is more important on Drain Psyche? Healing or Endurance Mod? My acc and recharge and heal are very high, but my endmod is only 42%. Considering I have Power Sink also, will that be sufficient for EndMod?
Thanks,
Lewis

5 slotting your single target hold? I can't really see the sense in shorting the single strongest control power in your arsenal.
You're pretty much in good shape with the char slotting either way
I've never used Drain Psyche, but I'm pretty sure healing is much more important because it also boots the regen debuff, which is awesome for AVs and GMs and such. Also will make you a bit less squishy

Well, I wouldnt to it for actual play prior to level 47. I'm level 50 though, and I can make the numbers work out to be pretty darned good in just 5 slots.
Lewis
P.S. Not that it matters but here is my respec build I am considering. Only Char and a few of the other only-5-slotted powers really matter. The rest was just me screwing around. I actually already have the Miracle, btw.

Is that the "how good can I make this build without getting any real set bonuses" build?
I guess if you are an elitist perma dom type, sure. [j/k]
I do have 22% recovery set bonuses (not counting the Miracle), and I have 15% global damage and 32% global accuracy with the build. That is more than sufficient for me. I have never cared about recharge in my builds. I can play fine without it. Dominators spend most of their lives without tons of global recharge, even if they seek perma dom, and they are plenty fun and effective. With the damage moved from Domination, I have even less reason to care about global recharge.
So, this is the "I have a limited budget, dont care about global recharge, and need to frankenslot so that I have all the powers I want performing at satisfying levels" build.
Knock it if you want to, I still find my Dominators fun.

Not knocking it. I just find it interesting, ya don't see many people go that route now a days.
I personally find it difficult to make any build not worth a fortune or two!
I dont earn much money since I largely solo or 3-box. Therefore, I have to play with generics or VERY cheap/common IOs. I will be lucky to afford most of the post I put up. Affording Char is a necessity, since I'll have only 5 slots, and I am lucky to already have the miracle.
If I knew how to make a lot of money villain side, or even hero side, I would.

Its a lot easier to earn money in AE than in the regular game. People think the only way to earn big in AE is by running boring and repetitive farms...ppphhht. Play some hard AE mishes..look for mobs that aren't mez resistant and viola..its ticket time.
Another good funds and drop earner is the "Clean out Crey facility of magical beasties" mission form Tavish Bell. That's available in Ouroboros. You can run that arc and usually get quite a few valuable drops and recipes.
My level 50 Dominators:
Madame Mindbender 50 Mind/Energy
Fly Agaric 50 Plant/Thorn
Nate Nitro 50 Fire/Psi
Or play the market.
All,
SHORT VERSION:
What is the best, stat-wise, you can come up with in 5 slots at level 50 for Char, without using Purples, and preferably without Hami-Os? I can get 75/54/93/93 a/e/r/h or else I can get 85/39/80/96 a/e/r/h. Is there a better option I'm overlooking?
RAMBLING BACKSTORY VERSION:
I have a somewhat tight respec I'm trying to do. I have a level 50 Fire/Psy that I am re-working. Unlike most, mine was never perma-Dom, and in fact he doesnt have ANY global recharge on him. He is just all frankenslotty. Nothing special.
Still, since the nerf/fix to Psychic Shockwave, I have found him to be fairly crappy at the single target killing. By which I mean that Psy Shockwave, being over-powered, did enough damage that it was as good on a single target as a group, so I just alternated it with Mind Probe and Subdue on single targets.
Now that Psy Shockwave is Nerfed / Fixed, I need better single target damage, and I've decided to give up on his AoE emphasis since it sucks by comparison now. The set is clearly no longer designed to be a good AoE set, despite Psychic Scream being better (I already had it and used it).
So, he did have the concept of burning you Mind (Psychic AoEs), Body (Hot Feet), and Soul (Ball Lightning) but Ball Lightning always sucked and Psy Shockwave can't be single target filler now. So, I'm dropping Ball Lightning and reworking my Mu powers.
In doing so, my build is EXTREMELY tight and I have to decide between 2 slots in hasten, or 3 slots in hasten and only 5 in Char.
I think I can get some pretty good numbers out of just 5 slots in Char.
Lockdown Acc/Hold 50
Lockdown Acc/End/Rech/Hold 50
Lockdown End/Rech/Hold 50
Ghost Widow Acc/Hold/Rech
EoCurare Acc/Hold/Rech 50
That gives me 85% accuracy, 39% endurance reduction, 80% recharge, 96% hold. Basically my rech time is 4.42 seconds and my hold duration is 35.5 seconds. My accuracy is 167% and my end cost is 6.1 endurance. Actually with the Lockdown set bonus for 3 set IOs, my Hold Duration is 36.3 seconds.
Now, if I replace the Lockdown Acc/Hold with a Basilisk's Gaze Acc/End/Rech/Hold level 30, which I havent checked but I suspect is extremely expensive, I could get 75% acc, 54% end reduction, 93% recharge, and 93% hold. Basically, my accuracy would drop to 158%, and my hold would drop to only 34.5 seconds, but my recharge would improve to 4.1 seconds (not a lot), and my endurance reduction would be better so using Char would only cost me 5.5 endurance.
So, I am THINKING I prefer the original one, with the 3 Lockdowns, but I am tempted by the somewhat lower endurance cost of the Basilisk Gaze version.
Or can you come up with a better slotting in 3 slots? I prefer no Purples or Hami-Os.
Thanks,
Lewis
