Gladiator's Armor: Teleportation Protection, +Def
the 3 plus def is why and its super rare.
People in PvE want it to soft cap their defense. Hit points and endurance can be gotten elsewhere, but not the extra +3% defense - not for a single slot, anyway.

This is what it means to be a tank!
I got it for PvP purposes anyways. The 3% Def gets me closer to the impossible soft cap in PvP.
It is practically worthless, since you can get a Steadfast protection +3% def for 25 mill but sell the glad armor for 600mill. I love getting these and just making BANK.
I've never really seen the reason fo the high price on it. If your defense is so close to the soft cap that you would want that extra 3%, then it is high enough that the 3% gets DRd down to almost nothing. That 600 million is gonna net you about .5% after DR. Not worth it in my opinion, but I don't have 600 million sitting around to spend on such things. I might think differently if I did.
It the teleportation protection.. There are people that still use tp foe.. The protection works wonders it not the 3%

The teleportation resist absolutely does NOT work wonders. It's only a 20% chance to resist tp foe. So, about 1 out of 5 times you won't get tp'ed.

Of course, anyone that is seriously considering the glad armor should already have the steadfast slotted. The ability to add 3% def to all types in a single slot is huge, and considering the difficulty in acquiring this IO and the multiple billions of inf you can spend on a build these days it really isn't unreasonable.
It is worth noting that a little patience on this IO can save you 100 mill or two.

Yes and no. Someone with a lot of resist powers will have a steadfast slotted up, but say for example, a blaster/defender/mastermind/corruptor/etc that only get 1 shield (usually in the epic pool) you only have the chance to slot up one set of resistance enhancements. On my MM I went all glad armor because at the time people WERE using tp foe a lot more, but now I find I can sell it for around 600 million and invest in much better IOs for my blaster and dom that don't use it.

Fair enough. I probably shouldn't speak in absolutes. However, I believe this is a rare case. You'd have to have only one power that could slot resist sets and feel that the 6 slot bonus for glad armor is worth more than the 3% defense, which is extremely unlikely unless it's primarily a PvP build. I expect a significant majority of these IOs in play are being used on PvE builds, and I'd be quite surprised to learn otherwise.

Might only be 20% but I seen it protect more then 4/5 times
Hmm? Can't we stack those too? or are those considered one of those Unique IO's that you can place only once through your whole build?
They both work which equals an easy 6% def to all.
Before DR
What are the best pvp IO set to get for a blaster right now?
I'm trying to figure out why this PvP IO is worth so much. It only gives you a 20% chance to resist Teleport.
The 3% def to all is very nice, but I don't understand why it's as expensive as the Panacea: Chance for +HP/Endurance.
