Okay so now I rolled back to the 185.85 drivers, and I get the loading bar, and then a screen that says City of Heroes Loading...
and then it stays like that, left it like that for about 20 minutes......it says its stopped responding in task manager. I tried running in compatibility mode for xp service pack two, and as admin, but that didn't help. I also tried running it without those things. Sooo......what now? It's added to my firewall as an exception.....I have above and beyond all the system reqs....This game looks new user unfriendly. I'm beggining to think its system mechanics are outdated and can't handle newer PCs >.>

I'm assuming you have another thread with all the interesting info about your machine somewhere else here, so I'd think you'd want to go back to that one for continuity purposes... Otherwise, we'll have to ask you post up your CoHHelper and Hijack this logs again...

Guess again. Tons of people run it with no issues, including on new systems with Vista. (Not sure if any are using it under Windows 7 yet.)

Yes, several are running it successfully on Windows 7.

I'm running it on XP SP3 on one computer, Vista 64-bit on another computer and Windows 7 64-bit using a different drive on that same computer.

All three run fairly smoothly. Also, I can run it on XP on my 7 year old laptop as well. It's not pretty by a long shot, but it's enough to get me by for minor stuff when away from home. The main XP computer is getting rather long in the tooth, and coud stand some upgrades to be able to tweak up the graphics settings, but given the age of the system, it's easier just to use it for backup usage now.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.
