Blasters and Invoke Panic
I had a blapper with Invoke Panic once before. Unfortunatley, the fear effect doesn't last long and it has high end-cost and recharge. It's not all that great.
On the plus side, the fear powers should thematically look good mixed with sonic. The single-target fear power has you growl at them, and Invoke Panic has you howling at the moon. Cool stuff.
Presence pool is hilarious on teams as well.
"Pull?"
"Sure" (uses provoke)
"wtf?"
The Bacon Compels You.
It doesn't work so well. The duration isn't long enough even with maximum slotting.
If it had more appropriate duration it would be a nice combo with /MM. You could stack scare on a boss, intimidate on a lieut, invoke panic and fear the entire spawn.
That's 6.3 seconds to cast all of it and a max duration of 16 seconds giving you only 10 seconds of AoE spawn control.

I would say try it out and see. What have you got to lose?

Um...sounds like shes got stamina to lose.
I would never build a blaster without stamina. You may say you have never run out of end with unslotted stamina at 43, but then I may say you must be doing it wrong.
Concepts are cool, but damn do they wreck a build.

The build is /mental. /mental can easily get away with out stamina. The low duration is the sticky point especially since as soon as you unload your first AoE all the feared stuff is going to get to retaliate.
If you want to try it out I'd suggest copying to the test server and trying it out before going with it on live.

More often than not, I'm always topped off on endurance. When I solo, I'm only using my single target attacks (shriek, scream, shot, subdual, screech) which seem to never run me out of endurance. When I team, sure I'm spamming my more endurance heavy AoE's, but the larger mobs let me more effectively use Drain Psyche so I rarely have end probs, especially not when teamed. I dont have a super expensive IO build, so I don't really know what else I should be doing to get more use out of stamina.
I suppose I could pick up the leadership pools but blasters don't really get as much out of them as other classes. Maybe I could take up medicine, but stopping to heal seems to slow me down more than anything. I would rather just keep killing stuff and getting more inspirations to heal/recharge end.
In any case, sounds like the presence pool is a poor choice for anything but concept, but meh.. if there isn't anything else, I suppose it's a sacrifice I might make.
The nicest thing I can say about presence pool: Perfect Zinger and Glimpse of the Abyss are low cost ways to get a bit more global recharge.
Concept is concept, go with what makes sense. That way, whether a power gets buffed or nerfed, which you can't control, you still have the power that matches your concept, which you completely control. (That, and presence pool is massively overdue for a buff.)

You would probably never build any toon without stamina.
Invoke Panic won't convince badguys to get out of your face like, say, Caltrops would, but it's a handy way to get people to stop punching you long enough to retreat a few floors down and Rest. Intimidate is good for keeping an enemy locked down long enough to give you a reprieve (like a ranged attacker adding to your trouble in the aforementioned gangbeating scenario). And either of the taunts on a blaster is so loony as to be hilarious.
But the main reason you should go for it is because you *can*. You're playing for concept, so take powers that fit with the concept. Anyone telling you you CAN'T take a certain power or that you HAVE to have Stamina have probably fallen into the old trap that min-maxing is serious buisness.
Anyway, what server/side is this character on? She sounds fun to meet sometime XD

Now playing at an MA near you: Dragonslayers #335375
For thematic reasons, I'm debating if I should get "Invoke Panic" on my sonic/mental blaster. The premise is my character is a "Mean Girl" (hence sonic (girl talk) and mental (girl manipulation))
Does anyone have any experience with this?
How bad of an idea is this?
How much will I be suffering to do this? (I would probably respec out of swift/health/stamina. I'm lvl 43 and always seem to have a full end bar w/ unslotted stamina, so I feel like this power isn't that vital.)
