Purple Hunt ...
Oh, and ironically, it's gonna take purples to be able to SOLO 8-man missions for purples...which means I think the price will still go up before it goes down, and it will take longer to go down (demand will go up before supply does, supply will eventually go up pushing the price back down to current levels and beyond hopefully).
Purples are going to drop more often, thus increasing supply.
People are going to want purples more to solo 6-8 man spawns thus increasing demand.
On balance in think its goin to affect the supply more than the demand, but its if goign to affect both.

Looks like I should just start working on building cash to buy Purples instead of dropping one, eh?

Depends on your time frame. I suspect it will be quite some time before we see the inevitable price drop. People EXPECT purples to be expensive so price won't drop until there's a true glut of them on the market. I'm more inclined to farm purples now and sell em, bank the cash, and buy in a few months when price drops.

Just this change to difficulty levels (and Rad Blasters, here's hoping it doesn't get the Psi treatment) is making I16 the first issue I've been more than lukewarm toward since I12.
"One day we all may see each other elsewhere. In Tyria, in Azeroth. We may pass each other and never know it. And that's sad. But if nothing else, we'll still have Rhode Island."
Traps/AR defender
Claws/?? Brute (probably will power)
Both will be great fun and I'm sold.

Actually the thought of a Claws brute gets me rather excited. That and being able to pick alternate animations for SS. I don't hate the current ones, but I'm just eager to see what they come up with for new ones.

So what do you think prices will be at once we can set the missions for 8 people even solo? More people farming. I am thinking some might actually leave the AE to go back to regular critter farms.

I'd love to think so, but my gut instinct tells me there will be some type of limit or throttling of drops implemented to go along with this.

I'd been thinking the same. "It's a challenge setting, not a reward setting, so rewards are at [x]% of normal" was the first thing that came to mind.
Much as I'd like to be wrong, these settings seem to fall into the category of, "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is."
I'm excited about I16, don't get me wrong. This just sounds a tich too good.

TBH, changing colors on powers didn't excite me until I saw their little i16 banner. The green ice stuff looks all tech and cool...you could make some GREAT concepts now with the power colors.
I was hoping for the new power sets for i16...proliferation doesn't excite me all that much (tho elec/shield scrapper should be fun!).
Oh the money we will make off respecs when i16 hits....good lord, I'm salivating just thinking about it.
