Right now, I am recently back in the game and having a good time. I'm leveling up a few heroes, but we want to do switch and play some villains as well.

My friends have made a Thugs/Pain Domination and Necro/Dark. I'm trying to figure out what role I should play that would provide some great synergy in the mix. I am thinking Dominator or Corruptor, but I'm open to suggestions. Note, I think the Thugs/Pain might prefer Thugs/Storm; he's still up in the air. Can I get some ideas? Thanks all!

Go Dominator and grab the AoE immobilize.

The Thugs/Pain will love you long time, especially when you keep the enemies inside the Necro/Dark's Tar Patch as they burn from the Arsonist's Fire Bomb Patches.

A Plant/Psi Dominator would compliment two MM's quite well. Seeds of Confusion, Carrion Creepers, Roots, and Vines will help keep the playing field controlled. As well as keeping foes from scattering all over. (i.e keeping the mm pets from chasing straggles). Also Spirit Tree should stack well with Triage Beacon or any other + Regen powers.

Psi has incredible range and two nice melee powers Drain Psyche and Psychic Shockwave. Also Psychic Scream is a nice damage and -recharge debuff. If you each make room to get the leadership pool as well, you'll have some nice stacking buffs.

My level 50 Dominators:
Madame Mindbender 50 Mind/Energy
Fly Agaric 50 Plant/Thorn
Nate Nitro 50 Fire/Psi

You don't need a dominator, the necro/dark already has a full compliment of control.
You don't need a brute, the MM's can tank.
You don't need a corruptor, you've got two support sets already and excellent damage.
You don't need another MM. Graphics cards are already crying.
You don't need a stalker. Seriously, who needs a stalker?

Joking aside, I would probably go with a dominator. No one complains about extra control added to the mix, and the damage would be a great addition too.

Really though, if you have access, a soldier of arachnos would probably be the best thing for you with all the leadership buffs helping all the pets.

We're noobs (not sure I broke 20 when I played years ago), so none of us have access to the special ATs. Dominator sounds like a good idea. Hmmm. I typically favor ATs that get some of their goodies earlier--I'm a slow leveler (haven't really gotten into the whole AE PL thing--I'm still playing for content), and I don't want to quit because the early levels are boring (from a playstyle perspective).

Woah woah WOAH! You are not noobs! Don't ever use that term to describe a yourself. If anything you are a newb, a young (level wise) player who may not know everything that the more experienced players might.

As long as you ask questions and don't act like a know it all when you don't, you're not a noob.

Dominator is a good choice now. A Brute without taunt may have trouble getting all the aggro he needs for high Fury. Your pets will kill faster than he does on a team.

Dominator's aoe immb can help your Thug's AoE and Zombies' aggro issue by chasing a running target.

Or the third can be a SoA. Their team defense buffs can benefit your pets a lot. I would suggest Bane/Night Widow only because zombies will need more babysitting than ranged pets and Bane/NW tend to go melee. Fortunata is great too since she has controls.

What's left is to normalize all Assassin Strikes and improve Stalker's old sets (Claw, MA and EM)! You don't need to bring back the missing PbAoE attack. You just need to make the existing ones better! For example, make Slice a WIDER and LONGER cone.

Ice/Kin corrupter...if it was me.

Ice for a bit of extra control and good focused single target damage, Kin to help things flow even more smoothly.
