Can't access my main servers?
I'd recommend starting with Zloth's ++ Common Solutions & Posting Guidelines ++ thread that is stickied in this forum.
Secondly, post a log from running CoH Helper as it will give information about your system and the CoH installation and settings.
Thirdly, post a log from running HijackThis. This will show what else is going on on your computer while you are playing CoH.
And, unless your ISP has a direct connection to the CoH servers, there are a number of hops along the route that could be having a problem. Many ISP's "techs" will look at what their screens are showing them and take the approach of "it's not on our end, so it's not our problem".
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.
Black Pebble is my new hero.
I've looked through the thread. That is how I got the /command on my pings.
I'll do the CoH Helper and HijackThis now.
Did you try deleting cookies from internet browsers?
Check to see if you have anything else running that might be interacting with the internet while you are running CoX?
Maybe there is something that is traveling along the same access path as CoX is when you are connected to those servers that is slowing down communication along that pathway or maybe something else along that pathway is slowing down everything in route that passes through that hub.
Possibly there is someone here that is on the West Coast that would be good enough to confirm if they have had any issues on the servers that the OP has listed?

I was just on Protector (Asking friends if it is happening to them) when I logged out, I hit CoH (To do the HijackThis log) and now it's saying I have a 2 1/2 hour wait for it to update? My anti-virus hasn't caught anything, and my Updater shouldn't have deleted anything, but I'll have the HiJack this up ASAP.
Odd. Several of these types of entries look like a corrupted registry.

It could also be due to not having the correct .Net Framework installed. I'm not sure what .Net CoH Helper was written to use, so can't be sure. DirectX is up to date.
Still, it wouldn't hurt to update through Windows Update (use the Custom option and skip SP3 if you want, as well as any others that you don't want for whatever reason) and check in the Software, Optional section as well for .Net related updates.
Also, update your nVidia graphics drivers to at least the 185.85 drivers.
EDIT: Edited to correct DirectX information. Had to load up an XP system and patch it quickly to check the versions.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

It's fine to run HijackThis while the Updater is processing files.
It could be that those odd entries I noted in my above post are the reason for the updater downloading files.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.
Black Pebble is my new hero.
I checked out Virtue, Guardian, and Pinnacle (from the East Coast), I'm not seeing any issues.
How old is your hard drive?
Have you been having any overheating issues?
Will do.
Harddrive is about 2 months old, no overheating issues that I know of (3 fans attached to the sides for addition cooling)
I'll update everything again.

Don't know what half of this is.
Brother plays on my computer when I'm at work, so I hope he didn't do anything today that could of changed it in anyway, or he's not going to breath tomorrow -.-
Ok, updating driver for my NVIDIA now. The one reccomended. Got to the "Location to Save Files" and the one reccomended says "Unable to created the specified out folder!"
My computer is royally messed up isn't it...
Edit: Any suggestions?
I don't see anything in your hijack this log, except for the interesting fact you (or whomever built the computer) installed Windows with perhaps a 4 slot card reader already installed, making your system drive H:, but that shouldn't have affected anything regarding Co*.
However, in your first post, you posted this info:[ QUOTE ]
Update:
Ok, I used the /netgraph 1 to see my ping, etc etc.
On the three servers I can play on...
Protector: Ping of 120
Victory: Ping of 120-145
Champion: Ping of 124-145
The servers I play on often...
Guardian: Ping of 745
Pinnacle: Ping of 394-450
Virtue: Ping of 1302
[/ QUOTE ](slighty formatted a little bit... sue me. No wait, don't I'm not made of money.)
Very telling. Is this still the case, or has the situation changed regarding these servers?
I'd also go get PingPlotter Freeware. There's another thread about it somewhere and it also has the servers' IP addresses. You may find that, for whatever reason, your route is going through one set of servers to get to Champion, and then another set for Pinnacle, and in the middle somewhere is a spiked server. You can then inform your ISP of the situation, and they may get it resolved for ya.
Dunno if that's it, but there really isn't much reason for any of the servers to act any differently if your computer is otherwise the same.
Other than load on the server itself, or the path to them is messed up, I don't know why in the world this would happen, and especially not locally caused. Unless it's Norton, which is DRBBBOT, or maybe your router or modem on the outside of chances.

Eh, it's an HP. I've seen them do some really odd things in how they name the primary drive.
I've seen computers with H: as the primary (ok, H for HP, some sense there), M: as the primary (that one made no sense at all), P: as the primary (Pavillion, ok, some sense there as well, but still) that were all HP's.

Wow. Haven't had the privilege myself. I've seen a couple of D: and even E:... but nothin' higher than F:... Guess I've not traveled far enough.

OK. Try this. Create a folder on your desktop called nVidia.
Download the file to this folder (click Save and not Run from the nVidia download site).
When you run the downloaded file after it finishes, instead of using the default location point it to the nVidia folder on the desktop.
The other option I find that should resolve this is to log in as Administrator on the local computer. Not an account that has administrator rights, but the actual Administrator account. IF you've never logged into this account, the password should be empty.
You don't get an option to select or enter Administrator as the username? OK, here's how you fix that. Go to the Control Panel and open the User Accounts applet. Click the blue text of Change the way users log on or off and on the next screen, uncheck Use Welcome Screen. If it is checked and not greyed out, uncheck Fast User Switching as well. You may need to do this one first. Clci the Apply Options button, then close everything out back to the desktop.
At this point, restart the computer. When the login box appears type Administrator as the username and leave the password box empty, unless you've set a password in the past.
After you get logged in as Administrator, you can go to My Computer, select your H: drive, select Documents and Settings, select your Username, select the Desktop folder, find the nVidia file you downloaded to there and run it.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Check server stats
Power is unless without the will to use it,
But will in nothing unless you believe in yourself.
And that is ture power!

Ok, can anyone else find that threat with the Server IPs? I can't seem to find it, unless it's in a random forum (like Freedom Server Forums). If that's my problem, then I'll be contacting my provider for sure.
NVidia is now working, thanks Texas.
Glad to be of some assistance.

My primary drive is H: as well and I don't have any issues with CoX or NVIDIA updates.
I don't think it's me having Drive H: Alt.

There is where the IPs are. I did the east coast, constant red.
West coast is constant green.
Guess we found my problem right? Now how do I describe it to my provider?

Hm. It seems to have gotten worse. Same "server load" though.
*Shrugs* I'll check it out tomorrow then.
I guess I got this coming to me after 4 years of no problems
Ok, so I usually play on the Virtue, Guardian and Pinnacle servers, but now I can't access them without being Mapserved right off the bat.
I've messed around with others servers, and found out I can only access Protector, Victory and Champion servers, which I have only 1 toon each on.
I'm on the West Coast (Arizona) and i was wondering it was just maybe East Coast servers, until my friend told me Guardian is a West Coast server, one that I can't play on.
Any hints or suggestions? I've restarted computer at least 4 times, Verified Files about 4 times, Anit-virus full scan twice, and even reinstalled the whole game from my CD (i3 when I bought it) twice. Still can't access my main servers.
Update:
Ok, I used the /netgraph 1 to see my ping, etc etc. On the three servers I can play on...
Protector: Ping of 120
Victory: Ping of 120-145
Champion: Ping of 124-145
The servers I play on often...
Guardian: Ping of 745
Pinnacle: Ping of 394-450
Virtue: Ping of 1302
Any suggestions? I called my interent provider, nothing is up on their end either. I didn't do anything to my computer, no new updates, etc.
