My girlfriends and I always went to the bars where the gay men were the highest population- so we didn't have to worry about sleazy straight guys. Easier to find in MN than ND, but ND bars allow vile smokers so I avoid them anyway.

No. Straight guys follow the girls to gay bars to play the 'sensitive friend' angle and maybe get some 'I'm not a threat' grinding in on the dance floor... then let alcohol do the work and slip out the door the next morning claiming it was a one time deal and you're really still gay as a method of commitment avoidance.
