AE mobs do not count for anything other than AE badges.

Kills in AE do not count towards any badging progress outside the specific MA badges - so, no, those won't count. You will have to find them on the street or in paper, scanner, or regular missions and appropriate TFs/SFs. Nor do AE Rikti drop merits. Again, you will have to leave the AE building for those.

Just find a good location to street hunt them.
You'll find no shortage of Sorcerors in Talos Island, especially if you rampage up and down Spanky's Boardwalk. As for the mages, the southern end of the Hollows had plenty of them last time I checked (Note that this was pre-revamp).
As for Vanguard Merits, getting in on a single mothership raid will earn you more merits than missions will get you in a week.
Still plenty of mages in the south end of the Hollows. just went on a killing spree there a couple days ago.
Ok, so I was checking paragon wiki about the custom weapons, and to get the tsoo katana and thorn sword for BS/, you have to take down 200 tsoo sorcerers and 200 cot sorcerers, respectively. Just wondering if the same npc's in AE will count? Or any unlockables for that metter, sorry, I'm an unlockables freak!!!!! Also, if so, dows that mean you could possibly get vanguard merits if you're a member and kill rikti in AE? Doesn't sound possible but it would be cool.
