Electric/SR... oh, the powah...
Get Lucky. Having capped -def resist is very important to defense based sets. Getting Lucky will help prevent cascading defense failure, where as Darkest Night's primary function of -tohit is mostly wasted on a softcapped build. Plus, Lucky doesn't cost end
take lucky.
drop havoc and get chain induction (same damage, faster animation, aoe potential.)
It has been my impression that SR is really only super when you have the full set. It makes for a tighter build, but the trade offs are well worth it. I am sure you have plenty of recharge in your build, so drop an attack somewhere and grab it. As it has been stated, SR relies on defense and defense debuff resistance to perform.
Go out and get LUCKY tonight. Hell, don't wait til tonight. Get lucky now... If you don't have a freebie that the devs were handing out, you may have to pay for it. It will be the best 10 bucks you spend getting lucky- I can almost guarantee it.
Words to the wise aren't necessary- it's the stupid ones that need them.
"You're right...I forgot...being constantly at or the near the damage cap is a big turn off. Definitely not worth it."

No can do. There's a proc in Havoc which keeps me on my feet, and CI won't accept it.

Heh... I'll just take it as my last power (I'm lvl 47 currently) ... no need to drop a power or respec.
Edit: I can't drop any attacks anyway - The first two tier attacks are my bread and butter with their procs, and gloom (which rounds out my ST attack chain) is needed to get Dark Obliteration... which rounds out my AoE attack chain and makes me a herding beast.
My gawd...
High global +rech bonuses from IOs... soft capped defenses in all save AoE (because I'm lazy and wanted more +rech) ... hasten .... a primary that doesn't use much endurance and, thus, can support non-stop spammage of those attacks... and gloom added in for a decent ST attack chain in addition to its incredible AoE potential.
I ditched both JL and Chain Induction and chose to go with GW's patron pool for gloom and dark obliteration - now I have a decent ST attack chain with just gloom and the first two elec attacks, and DO rounds out my AoE nicely (and has a 16 target cap! Woohoo!) when combined with TS and LR... and all that sweet, sweet recharge...
I'm in love. I've come to the point that I herd up to the aggro cap just to see how much I can demolish in one go.
So, a question: I lack "Lucky". So I lack the full scaled damage resist that comes with all three passive (and, of course, my AoE def remains sub capped.... it's sitting at 37%.)...
Since i'm soft capped in ranged and melee (46% and 48% respectively, or near it)... do I even need Darkest Night? Is there any reason short of "it'll take a bit of damage off the one or two hits that get through"?
Or should I just take lucky for that extra AoE edge and more resist scaling?
Whatever the case... this toon is already a god. It's sick.
