Epic Pool for Fire/Ice Tank
melt armor is absolutely terrible for tanks. High endurance, long recharge minimal debuff (esp. considering purple patch).
Fireball and Ice Storm are similar damage over time, but if you like having something to use more often fireball is better.
I am an ebil markeeter and will steal your moneiz ...correction stole your moneiz. I support keeping the poor down because it is impossible to make moneiz in this game.
Fire ball is the better of the two. Ice storm causes scatter.
I am leaning towards earth mastery and quicksand to keep foes in burn longer and have them not run as far. Stalagmites is much less damage than fire ball, but Quicksand and burn i think will make up for it.


Ice Ember
well he is an ice tank so he is likely using burn and ice patch, i don think scatter from ice storm would be an issue at that point, it would be a boon since ice storm has -movement.

I had it (ice storm), cursed it, dropped it, got fireball and was happy.
Fire ball will do more damage (ice storm lasts longer than burn, and some foes will just range attack), especially with fiery embrace.
If you team with a controller who can lock them down, it may be of benefit, but I find fireball to be much better dam/sec.

I disagree about Melt Armor ... especially for Tankers nearing the damage cap. Also with a decently built Tanker, the recharge time can be fairly minimized to something managable. Not to mention having another form of AOE agro.
If you're going to go Pyre to get to Fireball, then I'd suggest picking up Melt Armor.
Pyre is the obvious choice (Fireblast can even become part of your single target chain)
Stone has some merits for leveraging burn better. I'm unsure if it's worth it but it's definitely worth a try (and quite a bit of people are looking into it, so we should have meaningful data at some point)

So what would be better to pick for a Fire/Ice Tank - arctic mastery with ice storm or pyre mastery with melt armor and fireball? I'm assuming pyre would be more dmg but ice storm sounds like it would rip enemies up.
