Invuln isn't that bad for PvP. DM is, though. SS is one of the better sets, along with FA.

Besides Fiery embrace, What does FA bring to the table that is better than invuln? And after looking at Dark Melee some more, I cant make myself roll one, its numbers are terrible.
Any other primaries besides SS that are decent?

Uhm...basically...in pvp right now, if you wanna do decent (not good...brutes don't do good, they do decent at best) you're lookin at basically 2 primaries:
1st place Super Strength and 2nd place Energy Melee.
A runner up might be Stone Melee if built and played right though. Other than that...I really don't think any of the other primaries are all that great at all, even EM is a far fetch for 2nd place.. 
I rolled a DM/Fire Brute for strictly PvP & I couldn't be more happy with it. Granted DM doesn't do the damage that SS does, but it's not your cookie cutter build that everyone & there brother has either.... You do however with DM/Fire have staying power ... You may not kill fast, & hell some builds you will not kill, but there aren't many builds that are going to kill a well made, well played DM/Fire either ... from what I have seen so far.... Its the only toon that I have had a 4 vs 1 (RV) on & walked away with 3 kissin the pavement & the other one running for their base .....
OH Yeah TY devs for fixing Counterphracts perma holding white goo shooting [censored]'s,.... so nice not to have to run from them now...
& Oh Yeah If you are the Dark Master that was in RV when this lil event happened on Protector I was "Evil It" ..... sup dude >8)

Um healing flames is up in under 15 seconds?
Fiery Embrace + Rage =together get the most up front damage bonus.

When /Invuln (being as it being a +Res set) is comparable to other Brute types Resistance it isn't ahead in the game by much. It was pretty damn good pre-i13 but its not gonna get an edge over anyone other Brute besides having Dull Pain and it isn't gonna help you for long.
Well, I was thinking of trying something new.. And figured I would mess around with a brute in pvp. I've seen most sets in action, but I rarely see Dark melee, and invul. I tried looking up invul for brutes, and nothing came up but I've heard its one of the worse pvp sets, and since pvp 2.0, I've heard dark melee doesnt really have anything going for it.
I honestly dont want to know what set is better, I just want to know exactly why invul is so bad. And lets assume we are talking moderately IO'd out.
