mission architect and mapserver disconnect
You are tying what most people do when a new issue hits the live servers. And in all 15 issues I have been around for. This type of stuff is common. The servers act all wonky for a few weeks before all the bugs get worked through and things begin to level out.
Try and be patient.

hold up.
So you're saying that we shouldnt be bringing bugs to the TECHNICAL ISSUES AND BUGS forum, and that it could take weeks to get some kind of workaround so we can play normally?
moreover, you're telling us that we should just sit down and do something else while its broken? I am willing to bet that if they had to reimburse us for lost play time, the issue would be gone in a day or so, hehe.
Unless of course you're suggesting that there is no point in complaining because the devs dont listen? In which case, fair enough, carry on, and you should have said that to begin with
Right now the servers are experiencing a higher than normal volume with the patch drop. Turn on netgraph and watch what happens when you publish. The client and server engage in some heavy traffic which in reality disconnects your normal connection while your AE mission is uploaded. If this takes too long, the client will see the longer drop in normal game traffic as a disconnection from the server.
It isnt a bug per se, but rather a really bad design decision. As is, wait until tomorrow before publishing again. In the mean time, I recommend not using IE/Firefox, Torrent, etc while uploading, as they can cut into your uplink bandwidth, causing the upload to take extra time as well.

What he's saying is that this isn't the forum for this. This forum is players helping players. It isn't a forum that the Devs go through much looking for bugs.
If you find a bug, use the ingame /bug command or you can also try the /petition command if you think it is something that a GM may be able to assist with such as a stuck mob or something along those lines.
It's not a matter of the Devs not listening, it's just that this isn't the forum they listen to for things like this. The /bug command is your best bet for getting it looked at. Everytime it happens use the /bug command. Everytime.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Not the issue.
Upon trying to republish a mission arc, I still disconnect, and then cannot get past the server selection screen. Restarting the client does not help. No other bandwidth-intensive applications are running across my entire network. The only thing that seems to work is completely restarting my computer and then logging back in.
I'll poke around and see if I can nail down what specifically the issue is.
Everytime I try to publish my mission I get mapserver disconnection. I can test the mission, and it's fine, but the minute I attempt to publish it mapserver disconnects and does not publish then anytime I log back into the game I have a few seconds before I get mapserver disconnected from just being inside the AE place. The minute I get that character or any character from inside AE to outside I am fine. I wish I knew what was causing these problems. I tried on another character without success with the same problem so both characters were "stuck" in the architect building after I don't know how long I can log back in without problems and it's limited to just the mission architect buildings characters anywhere else in the game are fine. I also have no trouble with teams and running AE missions.
