game shutdowns
I'm going out on a limb here, so until we get a CoH Helper and Hijack This report.. This is my current guess...
If you are using NVidia, and have the NetworkAccessManager installed.. try uninstalling it. Many people have reported similar issues with crashing/freezing of network-intensive software while having NAM installed. Both CoX and Ventrilo forums fit into that category, and while your system might be able to run one or the other without issue, running both might be going over some threshold that your system, or the software cannot handle correctly.
In short, try disabling/uninstalling NAM and see if your performance increases.
If you don't use NVidia, or don't have NAM installed or running, then we'll need those other reports to make any further determinations.
I uninstalled Ventrilo and the problem seems to have been resolved, thanx for the suggestions
Damn! The problem still exists, I even re-installed the game and that didn't help, I am at a total loss as to what to do
Well, you could try running the two programs Mateo linked to and post the output here for the gurus to look at.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.
Black Pebble is my new hero.

[/ QUOTE ] I didn't suggest uninstalling Vent.. I suggested uninstalling NVidia's NetworkAccessManager.. and yes.. please post the results from the programs available at the above links.
I uninstalled, and reinstalled both games and they are working like a charm. I didn't know wher to find the NAM files (I looked everywhere) so I couldn't disable them as was suggested, I wasn't trying to dis u by not doing what u suggested.

[/ QUOTE ] Well you wouldn't have found it if you don't have NVidia, but we wouldn't know that, and still don't know that, because we never got the reports that we asked for. Posting that info is very helpful to getting pushed in the right direction. If you don't post it, you don't get help.
As it is, you did your own thing, so what was the point of even making a thread?
That said.. if your reinstalling experiment ends up not working (like it didn't last time).. then please POST THE REPORTS so we can actually see what you have and look for other possible causes.
I do have Nvidia, but I still couldn't find the NAM files, also I tried the CoH helper, but I couldn't find my Windows Clipboard, so I was unable to post my system info. As I said before, I was not trying tobe disrespectful to you, I just wasn't sure how to do some of the things you mentioned and where to find some things.
Have you ever heard of cut-and-paste or copy-paste or whatever? That's utilizing the Windows clipboard. Windows clipboard is CTRL+C (for copy) and CTRL+V (for pasting). (Make sure if you're manually copying something that it is highlighted.)

[/ QUOTE ] and in this case.. The CoH_Helper program automatically copies it for you, so all you have to do is press Control-V (Paste) in the forum.
NAM would be in your control panel under Add/remove programs. You'd select the NVidia driver program and select to uninstall NAM, if it's even there.. And the HiJack This log will let us know if NVidia's NAM is even running in the first place.
I have encountered a problem with CoH/CoV. I enabled Ventrilo for my SG (The Malevolent's Redemption) and ever since then within 10 min of logging into the game, irregardless of which server, it freezes, and then shuts down. Is this problem realated to the Ventrilo activation, or some other reason. The game worked fine prior to me activating Ventrilo, so I am thinking that is the culprit, although I have never had Ventrilo cause a problem with any other games in the past.
