Electric is the hard hitting melee set for doms I believe right now. However with the coming changes, you might want to consider energy as well.
Gravity may be a primary to consider. Since it has so many skippable powers, that will allow you to focus on your secondary.
My level 50 Dominators:
Madame Mindbender 50 Mind/Energy
Fly Agaric 50 Plant/Thorn
Nate Nitro 50 Fire/Psi
looks like ice sword circle is going to have its damage reduced..you might look at the new changes before picking :P
perma jump is ---> /up 1
It's a very slick, melee-centric combination. Some good synergy between the two, and very fun to play. I'd definately recommend it, because while it wasn't exactly my cup of tea, I did enjoy it and could see where it could really shine.
That said, Ice/Ice is likely to be a very solid choice as well (and fairly melee-centric as well), so it's really just whatever you can get a concept for.
Ice/Ice is fantastic. However you have to accept one sure fire fact more so then any other dom.
YOU WILL DIE on teams. Seriously you draw aggro like no other dom ever could.
Your always in the middle. Even Arctic Air, Ice Slick will not save your bacon on large teams.
That being said its a helluva rush and ride and when you don't face plant you'll pat yourself.
Seriously I had a buddy create one after he saw mine on a team. He got his to 50 (Before AE and with no farms) but earned a lot of DEBT badges and DAMAGE badges 
Those mobs remember who the reason for them being slowed was. They will thank you in kind.
With the overall damage buffs its should be even sicker and maybe a lot less face planting. Mines been at 35 (too many Alts) but I am soo looking forward to picking her back up once 15 drops.
So I'm newly in love with my Ice/Thermal Controller, but my first love is Dominators. My first 50 was a Fire/Fire dom, in fact. Because I love Ice so much, and I like being a scraptroller, I was looking for a good melee-style Dominator and came up with Ice/Electric. I'm assuming Ice/Ice with its swords would be a good choice as well, but I enjoy the diversity of powers put together from different sets.
Does anyone have experience with an Ice/Electric they can enlighten me about? Thanks!
