Earth Song
Big thing about Obama is that he shouldn't be considered the first 'black' president, but rather the first 'bi-racial' one. I say this because Obama is held up as an individual who can bridge the racial divide and bring unity. He can do this because he is bi-racial--and this provides him an excellent advantage in uniting his country.
GAT is a history major? Sweet! My undergrad was a double major in history and comparative religion. Any favorite eras / topics, GAT?
Lucifus is right--JFK, as a Catholic, was a first among presidents as well.
But times change. Lincoln, who freed thew slaves and united the US, was a Republican. Its a head trip to place Lincoln and Cheney in the same party. Yeesh...

WWII era and more of Civil War rather than the "In the Beginning" stuff. And anything controversial in history, I'm all about it.

With the exception of JFK(who was catholic), all of our Presidents have been white protestant males.

Minor note - the founders were mainly deists which are not protestants. Thomas Jefferson claimed no religion at all and was probably the most pure deist of them all according to the biographies I've read.
Nixon and Hoover were quakers and quakers don't consider themselves protestants.

What a [censored] circus. MJs going to be lucky if he doesn't end up stuffed and on display in some wack-job's private museum.
And wtf does Al Sharpton have to do with anything? Does he come with the microphone stand or is it vice-versa?

Truuf/ Yes, yes Al Sharpton comes with every microphone stand that has to deal with some people who have died..
I love how on the side bar they have a car chase going, something happening in the white house and Madoff getting the max penalty...and they chose this as the main focus of their news at that moment.
"I saw him last about a week ago, he was living then." LoL.
