EULA Question

[ QUOTE ]
Only for a particular interpretation of "their job". Their job is to reduce complaints and keep the game a civil place for players. Snooping on private communications that have generated no complaints and censoring people who are having conversations that offend no one doesn't seem to me to fit that bill.

Who said anything about snooping? That doesn't qualify as "happening across" it.

And you're wrong. Their job is to help customers and [u]enforce the rules[u]. The rules don't say "No swearing unless nobody is offended by it".

I don't really understand how they could "happen across" private conversations that were not petitioned without "snooping". And you don't know what their job is unless you applied for the position. Personally I think if their job is actually zero-tolerance enforcement, someone in the company made a poor decision. But as far as any of us who are only players know, they might be under instructions to enforce things liberally (any time they see them) or conservatively (only when petitioned), strictly (any violation by the letter of the law) or loosely (only cases that actually offended someone). You can make your guesses and I can make mine, but only the GMs know for sure.

I team with the Repeat Offenders.

Chat logs sent with a petition for something else, for starters.

And, yeah, I do know what their job is. It's been listed in the application that they've had up in the past for GMs...
