Elec / Regen

Hey everyone, rolled up a new Elec/Regen Stalker a few days ago and not sure about power picks. I'll plan to PvP a little but mainly PvE.

So my questions are:

1) Is Resillience worth taking?

2) What's Chain Induction like on a Stalker? I wasn't particularly impressed by the damage on my Brute and I'm sure it will be pitiful in PvP.

3) Will Lightning Rod crit at all if I'm in Hide when I use it, or does this only apply to Single Target attacks.

Thanks in advance.

1. Someone else will have to answer this one; personal opinion for me says "no", but I have it on my MA/Reg build at 49 because I felt it was better than Revive.

2. Chain Induction is okay - it's Havoc Punch damage with a faster animation, a guaranteed critical on the first target from hide, and the jumps are amusing. If your recharge is down enough you can use it for your single target chain, it's decent, but the limited AoE from the jumps doesn't even come close to justifying the extra endurance and recharge - I'd like to see the damage upped on the initial hit because of that. But for the fast animation (it's the best DPA attack in the set) it's still worth picking up.

3. Lightning Rod will never critical. It will also not drop you out of hidden status, meaning when you use another attack immediately afterwards (typically either Thunder Strike, which will have a critical and chance for critical on the splash damage, or Assassin's Shock, which can be used uninterrupted most of the time due to the AoE knockdown) you get the effect of being hidden.

Wow, thanks very much - the LR + TS trick with hide sounds great!

Resillience is worth taking, but not slotting. Resillience + Integration gives you huge resistance to disorient. This is nice for facing enemies like the Tsoo, or Crey, or Death Mages. Or Rikti. Or Arachnos. Or Carnies. I have no idea if this is a benefit in PvP....nor do I care to find out.

As a side benefit, you never need a break free whenever you self-rez. Hopefully you won't have to test that out, but odds are you will.

For slotting, I generally stick a resist IO in there & call it a day. You can get a small amount of lethal/smashing resistance out of this power, but slotting it really won't give you the biggest bang for your buck. Save your slots for all your healing / regen powers.

If you can fit resilience without easily enough without leaving out something else that's very important, then take it, sure. But if you will be forced to leave out a much more important power to take resilience, don't. Chances are, if you're making a good build (with pvp in mind), you won't have room for it though.

=/ Well I don't really think it is a must-to-take power anymore. Since the PvP has changed. =X

Not true anymore. Since they did the put up Stun + Stun seconds later effect they added on the rezes because of the automatic Arachnos Soldier's Stun Resistance you stay stunned anyways. (The stun mage is like 5, which you won't break until it scales up until about level 42.)

It made me very sad seeing this on my level 35 Dual Blades/Regen Scrapper that took it, after dusting him off a while ago.

With Love,
Me! <3
