PvP Defence

I'm very unexperienced on PvP and I noticed on Mid's that there is such a thing as Elusivity. How does it work exactly? Does it replace defence or do the two of them work together? Or... what??

Best I can figure, elusivity is the way castle decides what ATs and sets will be best for pvp this month.But be warned he is a fickle god and likes to change this at the smallest whim.
Some AT and sets get enough to be useful,some do not.Some get none.And do not ask for any numbers to help you understand it.For you are to puny to understand the greatness that is the castle.

That was a most elusive answer... ;}

Elusivity is to accuracy as tohit is to defense. That's really the best answer anyone (except maybe Arcanaville) can give.

All help was apreciated. If I may ask a last question, in the end wich one counts on PvP? I still don't understand if the two are active in PvP Zones or if it's just one (in such case wich one).

It is BOTH. Enemies have get a tohit roll through your defense, BUT their ACCURACY is countered by ELUSITIVITY, making their tohit rolls LESS likely to land, because their accuracy did not effect the tohit roll as much due to elusitivity.

It's kind complicated.

Yeah, I think SonicBang did the trick with his answer. I think that maybe (big maybe) I finally got it.

And regarding the ParagonWiki info on Elusivity, I had already seen it, and it got me confused like a n00b in a sea of CoTs.

My friend, I'm sorry to say this, but you just don't have the background/education to understand the answers.

You'll at least need a PhD in psychology to understand what is going on here, and a Bachelor's of Science in Mathematics to PvP.

The scale is as follows:

Bloody Bay: PhD in Psych., B.S. in Comp Sci or Mathematics.
Siren's Call: As above, 2 years work experience.
Warburg/Reclue Victory: As above, total 4 years experience and must have written a thesis on Helsinki/Stockholm Syndrome.
