Large Female Form and Booster Packs

Hello, and sorry if this has been posted as this particular idea before, but here goes...

I remember reading a thread a long while back about why CoX has no Large Female form, and how it would take a lot of resources to implement, etc, etc. The post (by a Dev) made sense, and I thought "Ok, that's reasonable..."

But, just the other day, as I was looking at the new Magic Booster for only $9.99, I thought to myself:

"Hey, I wonder if they would do the Large Female Form as a booster pack add-on for City?"

As far as I can see, this add-on would be hugely (no pun intended) popular, and would hopefully pay for itself in terms of resource usage in no time at all.

So; anyone else interested in pushing this to the Powers That Be?

This has come up before. Adding another body type requires a new set of animations for EVERY power in the game, and then double that for Flight and double again that for any animation that is taken with shields. It's a staggering amount of work for a body type that isn't going to be used much.

My guess is that we won't see a "female huge" body type even in the Character Creator 2.0 coming in the Going Rogue expansion.

As Derangedpolygot implied there are suggestions related to any game that run against the fundamental limitations of the game engine. This game clearly -could- support a "female huge" body type if it ever became a priority. But unfortunately with the way power animations are implemented (as explained by the Devs in the past) it would likely represent an overwhelming amount of work for the current game.

The Devs had to get this game working years ago and that meant having to live with certain compromises and sacrifices. In this case the game was simply never designed to allow for new body types to be easily added "plug-n-play" style to the game. I wouldn't really call it a "bad" design as much as it was a reasonably remote consideration that had to be sacrificed in order to get the rest of the game working.

Bottomline you'll probably have to turn to another/future game to see this body type at this point...

To the OP:

See that bolded part. Yeah. This is my thought. You think, because you want it, it'll be hugely popular.

No. Not really. Yeah, you'd likely see quite a few of them the first couple of weeks. But it'd die off rather quickly.

I mean really. Just the other day I sat outside in AP, and saw ONE Huge build. One!

In my SG, there has been TWO huge builds, and I'm only thinking, I'm remembering right on one of them (I know for sure on the other).

It'd be to much work for Sexy Jay to do, that only a handful of people would use. And of those handful, most would likely grow bored of it and disregard the toon, never to use it again (he would have to go thru every costume option to make sure they fit on the new build).

When instead he could be adding things for the three builds that are there...LIKE, Fox tails, hair for the Katie Hannon TF witch hat, 1 cybernetic leg option, ect...ect...ect...

In that case, how much work could be saved by simply fine tuning the muscle sliders for each body type?

Arm thickness
Arm length
Leg thickness
Leg length
Chest thickness
Chest height
Back thickness
Abdomen thickness
Abdomen height
Hip width

Obviously, these terms can be modified to the devs' will, and perhaps they can add/subtract modifications as they see fit. But it seems like this might be a more time saving solution to this suggestion.

Actually I'd just like to see a tights option like males get that simply makes the muscles more defined (you can have bare muscular or smooth) that way you could have muscular women without the need for a new body type.

In order to slove the nudity option...there simply isn't a 'bare' option for it, it has to use one of the 'tops with skin' options as a pattern.

Also a good idea to complement the body size modifications. I don't see it as a good standalone change, though. For instance, muscle definition in the same skinny arms could look a little weird unless it is very subtle. Not to mention, not all muscle is based around the "ripped" look.
