Question about Heroe mission stoires/lore

I am a recently returning player to CoX. I previously had gotten to lvl 50 on my villain's character and started a new villian recently. I really got into the story/lore the missions provided for this villain (actually reading everything provided). The villain arcs really provided a fun and entertaining story. However, I also just recently started another Hero character and the mission dialogue and lore really stinks in comparision. The only entertaining mission arc I have done so far is the the entire fautline arc. I am curretly lvl 22 on this character and wondering if the story presentation for the heroe side gets better or should I just look forward to rogue when I can play the villian missions with my heroe characters?

A lot of hero lore, especially at low levels, is much older than villain stories and less well written. However, there are a lot of diamonds in the rough.

At 22, you haven't seen anything yet. If you've done Faultline, I suggest moving on to Striga and Croatoa. A lot of players here can likely recommend some of the better arcs as well.

Hero content is rather older than Villain content, for the most part; Striga and Croatoa present snappier writing than much of the rest of the Blueside arcs, although there are some 'old school' arcs that are excellent.

Operation World Wide Red, while it's occasionally clunky gameplay-wise (whee, Malta, Malta, and more Malta!), the writing has got some real zing to it. The Rikti War Zone storyline is also excellent, and actually builds off Faultline's story- even if you've already run it redside, it's worth another look. Lesse... other great arcs... the Freaklympics is just an absolute blast to play through, both for the writing and the play... I rather like the Tsoo Coup, but your mileage may vary on that one- I just like the Tsoo

You're pretty close to being in range for the Mercedes Sheldon arcs (in the Midnight Club, level 25 to start, I think?), although I don't recall playing through that one- it's just new enough that I figured it was worth a mention, since much of the newer stuff tends to be more tightly-written.

The Mysterious General Z is close to your range, and a good arc, writing-wise, although it's all Sky Raiders, all the time, and thus kind of boring gameplay wise :/

Ubelmann the Unknown is also decidedly cool, and I think it's in your range as well (although piles upon piles of Council tends to pall after a while for me).

Anyways, I'm sure that others will be able to point you to some of blueside's good stuff- hopefully this helps a bit! (oh, and you can find out who gives out those arcs and how to get them via Paragonwiki)

The Hollows isn't too bad either, though it's a rough neighbourhood and finding good teams can be hard.

Also, paying attention to the story on Task Forces (or at least reading them on Paragonwiki afterwards) can be rewarding.

My first serious attempt to level up a hero went via Atlas > The Hollows > Synapse TF > Midnighters > Striga TF (the Kheldian one) > Croatoa/KHTF > RWZ > Cimerora, so I was in the high 30s by the time I actually ran any of the older contact arcs. The difference (I'd played mainly villainside up to then) is very noticeable.

TeChameleon pretty much sums it up - in my experience most of the arcs seem to be one enemy group over and over and over again. I found The Terra Conspiracy exhausting (may be a matter of taste - personally I find Devouring Earth extremely boring to fight) and The Praetorian War is similarly repetitive, though it has a few good moments buried in among all the Defeat Alls.

As an aside, I can't help but feel that the Praetorian arcs in particular really need to be redone in anticipation of Going Rogue.

Indigo's arc - if you can handle Malta - is pretty good, and I'm looking forward to doing World Wide Red. Generally though the hero side arcs are longer and the individual missions less eventful than the villain side arcs.

I will recommend the Midnighter arcs from Mercedes Sheldon. I haven't done her third arc so can't comment on that one, but Dirge of Chaos is fun, and The Magic Man is exceptional, with an utterly brilliant final mission.

It does. In places, it even gets as good as the villain content. But, realistically speaking, not before level 20. Most of the level 5-20 "classic" city zone hero content stinks like week-old fish. Once you get to level 20, though, you start getting actual story arcs more often, and most of them are pretty good. RedTomax.com has a helpful "Guide to Paragon City's network of contacts" that'll help you find them.

thank you all for your suggestions. So far I did go over to striga and did two of the contacts there but could not finish all because of levels. However will finish later thought. Thanks again everyone.
