I've used the market to make inf for as long as there's been a market. Primarily, I make enhancements and sell them. I had my 'Crafting Toon' who made tons of generics, sold them at a profit, and pretty much bankrolled the rest of my toons. I'm sure I'd made over a billion, but I'd never had much inf on hand at any one time. I'd make enough to buy whatever I wanted, then I'd go beat up villains with my new stuff. I don't play my 50s much, so I never needed big money to buy purples with. So yeah... I was as rich as I needed to be.

But shortly before I14 came out, I decided to get a Billion inf, just for something different to do. I originally planned to do it entirely by selling generic enhancements from my crafter... I was in no hurry... but after a couple of weeks I got my Field Crafter on a second toon, and after she accumulated 100M or so from selling generic enhancements, she moved on to a small selection of more... specialized goods. It was kind of amazing how much faster it went after that.

I didn't transfer any inf between characters to do this. I kept the first toon working on generics, and she's somewhere around 650M now. But she was at about 400 when this one was at 200, and working in pricier stock, this toon just blew past her to 1B. I knew it wasn't going to be hard, but I really didn't realize just HOW easy it would be.

Note: This was achieved ENTIRELY through buying recipes (or memorizing them), buying salvage, manufacturing IOs and selling them for a profit. Her net worth passed 1B some time ago, but a lot of that was tied up in bids, recipes, and unsold IOs. Just today did she top the 1B inf on hand mark, though she probably has another 1/2 Billion in current inventory.

So that's done. I'm not sure if I'll keep at it now that I've reached my goal. Like I said, I don't play my 50s much, and they do fine without purples anyway. I've certainly got enough on hand to buy anything and everything any of my lowbie toons are ever gonna need.

So it was fun. Not hard. I'm trying to get used to the idea that I'm now officially Ebil.

ive made a billion time after time ..usually i dont bother going to 2 bil's cause im buying for a new toon ..no new toons this time..waiting for going rogue to spend my money

but i made it to the 2 bill cap this time again..this time nothing to spend it on

QFT, Since I'm not lvling anymore I'm just trying to get as much Influence as possible. Working on my fourth piggybank toon, hitting 2 billion on a toon is easy since heroes are so free with their influence. I'm thinking Going Rogue is going to combine the markets and I Want be prepared cause there are soo many new toons I want on blueside.
