You have to get ALL the exploration badges to unlock the Beacon badge, including the one in the ship.
Thought as much. I had a glimmer of hope it might get excluded in the same way Egg-Hunter does for Faultline

I didn't have to get Unabashed for the beacon. I went through one day and got all the zone badges in SG mode for the RWZ and, when I got the second-to-last badge (so all but Unabashed) I got the message that the beacon was unlocked.
That's not to say I couldn't have already had Unabashed-it's definitely possible-but since I had no other badges for that zone when I started, it's improbable.

Confirming that you do need Unabashed for the beacon. Someone else in your SG could have collected it in SG Mode I guess, DJ?

Are you the only person in the SG? As DrMike2000 points out, someone else could have gotten that one. I've gotten the RWZ beacon multiple times and ALWAYS needed to get the Unabashed badge.

This is possible too, although at the time I was the only one high enough to get into the RWZ (iirc). Like I said, not sure.

So organize one. If you're disappointed with the frequency or lack of raids on your server, it's a safe bet you're not the only person who feels that way. It isn't hard to run one.

Or just collect all the other exploration badges?
