I have been away from the game for a while and am back now but I rolled a Fire/Ice this morning and leveled him a bit and I can tell you he is looking like a BEAST ( granted he is still very low in level but still). I just blew through FrostFire solo like he was just another minion. He is def going to be my main as I am loving him.
A day without sunshine is like...you know...night time.
They are both really good.
fire/elec is one of the highest damage toons in the game and with powersink you never need to worry about endurance (incl. stamina of course)
fire/ice is like a sweet nuking controller. Shiver is amazing. But ime it is mostly just about buildup and shiver spam for /ice. Not that that is necessarily bad.
I've done both into the 40's. I personally love powersink on an endurance hungry blaster and the elec melee attacks look pretty cool.

I"m considering rolling a Fire/Elec...I have a 22ish Elec/Fire, I wanted to do the whole Angel thing (man would an Electric Sword be sweeeeet!) but I just don't play him at all..hmm I may try him one day
Both are very good, but completely differnt playstyles almost
Fire/ice is a very good aoe/control/ more-so ranged blaster.
Fire/elec is one of the best blapping combinations out there, offering the highest ST DPS in the game IIRC.
