Performance Shifter Set Bonuses or ED Cap?
Hopefully I'm not horribly wrong in this, but I think it comes out to be even less of a bonus than it seems going the route of 93% vs. 99%.
Since the enhancements "enhance" the value of the buff itself (Stamina has a base of 25% endurance mod I think, game is down can't check). So an additional 93% of that would be an extra 23.25% vs. 24.75% with a 99% bonus. Instead of a 6% bonus to recovery it is more like a 1.5% bonus. It's still "something", but with that in mind I personally would go with the set bonuses over the 1.5% extra endurance regen.
(ok math guys, tear me apart! heh)
If you want to min max it, you'd probably best off by just pulling either one of the end mod/acc or end mod/rech and slotting a vanilla end mod IO. That gets you to 95%+ end mod and retains the movement and hitpoint bonuses. The hitpoint bonuses are generally very desirable on a melee character unless you're already hitpoint capped in other ways (accolades, perma dull pain, tons of other hitpoint bonuses, etc.)
Hey, that's not a bad compromise! I'd only lose the recovery bonus but wind up with more recovery anyway.

I just crunched more numbers for you on Mid's. 4 slotting it the way you mentioned would give you an overall 1% better recovery than replacing one of the dual pieces with a generic IO. (I checked on a build i have for a fire/rad troller. 4xPS gave me 3.12 end/sec. 3xPS and 1 IO gave me 3.09 end/sec. Not much in it either way.) I can only seeing it making much of a difference if you are going to get the 2.5% set bonus from 5 other sets and dont need it in stamina.

I run the following on my 50s:
1 Level 50 End Mod IO
1 Level 50 Performance Shifter End Mod
1 Performance Shifter Proc
Nothing more - can't spare the slots for a 3rd end mod.
Deamus the Fallen - 50 DM/EA Brute - Lib
Dragos Bahtiam - 50 Fire/Ice Blaster - Lib
/facepalm - Apply Directly to the Forehead!

Same here, and a 3rd End Mod IO's bonus is minimal anyway due to ED

If you Exemplar/Malefactor down then it makes a significant difference.

I finally threw another precious slot into Stamina on my Inv/SS Tanker, and dug up a set of four level 50 Performance Shifter IOs -- the classic End Mod, End Mod/Acc, End Mod/Rech, and the proc.
I failed to note, until after slotting the set, that ED means I'm getting only 91.something % Recovery enhancement.
Now I am getting the (4-slotted) set bonuses --
<ul type="square">[*] Two enhancements improves your Movement by 5%.[*] Three enhancements increases maximum Health by 1.88%.[*] Four enhancements increases Recovery by 2.5%.[/list]
So that means my recovery enhancement is 93-94% counting the 4th-slot set bonus.
If I took out the other three Performance Shifters and just slotted 3 lvl 50 common IOs and the proc, I'd get 99% enhancement (plus the proc when it fires!).
Any opinions on the desirability of doing that? How much endurance are we talking about...I know it must be small, but end is almost wlasy in high demand, so even small amounts might be worth losing the movement and Health bonuses.
