The Good, The Bad, The Random

So I was farting around on Test tonight making my Cat People contest entry, and I decided to just start clicking Random in the character generator.

There were some hilarious results.

So: let's share! Of the however-many-gazillion combinations of costume options and colors, how many are actually useful? Probably more than you'd think, and with a little tweaking some of these might even be workable.

On with the show!

The good!
-- I think this one, a kind of street-fighterish ex-military type, is among the nicest random bits I've rolled.

-- A Ranger In Green elfy hunter guy.

-- Scary Grey Undead-Alien invader?

-- Night Elf, anyone?

-- Maybe if the colors weren't clashy, this Martial Artist/Mage-y type would be workable.

-- I was getting a lot of that purple/green purple/whatever scheme. This guy's still not someone I'd want to mess with.

-- In keeping with the purple/whatever theme, I kind of like the circuitry over unrefined ore idea.

The BAD!

-- ... Is it an Oompa-Loompa mutant?

-- This is weird on so many levels.

-- WHY? No, really, WHY?



And the utterly WTH?!

You mean to say I could have gotten that costume by clicking random! I spent hours on my Samurai Robo Puncher!

Yeah that one ... just left me speechless.

Most of my costumes start off with the Random button. Once I see something I like, I tweak it until I'm happy.

I've got some that I haven't used yet. I'll get some screenies and post 'em.

There is an SG on Champion that I belong to that all the members' costumes must be from the random button, it's called Random Generators. There are some pretty strange looks in it...

Hey I like that look! (maybe change the colors a bit but...)

I like hitting the Random button...get some neat combos sometimes (like the one you have there)

Some of those actually worked... I need to take less medication.

Yeah if you are looking for a lot of staring, amazed gasps, and 'wtf is that guy, go look at him'.... these are awesome

OK, I caved in and tried this out. It's really something amusing to see what the random generator will spit out at you when keep hitting it.

Just for kicks I hit the random button 5 times for each build type and this is what I got:

Female -

Some sort of alien worker gone hero?

An alien queen, not a very nice one judging from her looks, yet kinda sexy

uh..... ok I got nothing on this one.... too much clashing mismatched pieces

A former Carnie of sorts.. maybe, one that likes to show more skin on the bottom than top... - the aura only on the feet gave me an idea for future chars though I'll admit.

Ooo... a devotee/follower of Scirocco maybe... I like this one

Male -

Ohhkay... a medieval droid?

Hmm a goodly angelic noble skeletony guy maybe.. - I'll admit the out of place sneakers made me grin and laugh

hmmm... almost an alien samurai, but with the trench? and the sparkle aura.... ya got me

got nothin on this one, other than somewhere a Crab Spider is missing a helmet

Piccolo's darker side that you reaaaaalllly didn't wanna know about

Huge -

orange skinned alien soldier guy, that's all I got

Hmm, some openbrained roman guy... don't look too happy..

Uhhh. an angelic canine martial artist?

This one looks fairly normal and kinda cool, for some reason the hairstyle works with this look well, imo

LOL this guy made me think... I'm a superhero now I need a look. Drat... out of ideas... I'll just wear these cool boots and pants I have, and this suit will have to do.... and oooo I got this helmet, that'll work!

I was just on Test and playing around clicking random again...

Sadly it didn't preserve this costume when I hit "back" instead of the costume tab up top, but hey. I'm not likely to ever play him... MA/Electric scrapper.
