Help with monitors?
If you use a teleport room for your meeting room, you can use beacons as your zone monitors in that manner. Saw that in a base once actually. I can't say for sure if placing them uses energy or control though if they're not in use.

Can you attach the Beacons to other items? If so couldn't you attach them to something that looks like a monitour screen on the wall?
Enjoy your day please.
I dismantled mine to revamp the room a bit, but I had 20 (of the 22) tech beacons (unattached to teleporters) and on one side of the room, lined up in a 5x4 grid so that it looked like it was one big monitor showing all zones simultaneously in a control area overlooking the porters (which had their own attached beacons)
Yes, they consume power and control. Don't try it if you don't have enough for it all, or somethin in the base (not necessarily these puppies, either) will go dormant.
You can attach or float them (using lamps or cubicles), and build something else around them to make them look like they're part of something bigger.
I have a room set aside as a SG meeting room (has a SG meeting table in the middle) and I would like to place monitors on the wall around the room.
What I would love to get would be identical, non-functional, decorative-only versions of the teleport beacons, cuz these show a scene from their respective zone, so it would be like "So that's what's happening in Talos, Skyway seems quiet, hmmm, looks like a little trouble in Steel. To the Teleporters!" Plus the beacons are easy to hang on the wall, but the LCD monitors that are decorative items can only be placed on a desk or table etc.
Any suggestions? Am I stuck with using LCD monitors and trying to stack them?
