-Pogoman, Master of Kick-Fu
-Co-Leader and recruiting officer of the Virtue Honor Guard
- lvl 50 ma/sr scrapper
-Ace O' Diamonds lvl 50 fire/rad controller
and waaaay to many other alts to mention right now
So Rod Steele did not win Mr. Beefcake for some reason -- no male judges, probably -- but he did gain some measure of revenge by leading his gladiators to victory in the Great Gladiator Mash.
Great party! Wish we didn't have to wait a year for the next one.
I know the Ms Beefcake results were 3rd Lady Lotus Flower, 2nd Chelsea Miller and 1st was Carnival Sin
And I KNOW who won the Mr Beefcake....the long-shot..the dark-horse himself...your favorite, and mine, melodramatic Sith Lord himself....
DARTH SNIDLEY!!! and..that was MY CHARACTER!!!
I WIN IWIN!!! I DON'T LOSE!! (harvey birdman reference btw).
The Jedi are crying about this one! Meh heh heh!!!!!
A funtime had but unfortunately, inclement weather was messing up the power in the house so i had to bail and couldnt log back in til almost midnight ( )
But had fun..Even danced with Carnival Sin in celebration of our victories.

Tonight's winners:
Mr. Beefcake: Darth Snidley
Ms. Cheesecake: Carnival Sin
Queen of the Beach: Dominique Morea
King of the Beach: Clint Sanders (rp name)
Winner of the Gladiator Mash contest: Rod Steele
Congratulations to all the winners and thank you to all who came and made it such a success. And thank you very much, Queen Xena, Mystic Blade, Malak, Vanessa Vanity and her Libertines Haven club and of course my fellow sisters ,

Well if I get enough requests, I may just throw an end of summer beach party at the same place.
Afterthoughts:
It was fun and yet not fun for me, I had two instances last night of unfun damage control between friends of mine, that and trying to keep the party organized and smooth, I couldnt have much fun. I realize though the role of the organizer is not to have fun but to facilitate the fun of others. Sharing the organizing role helped in my fun factor a bit too, letting Malak, Night Widow Nyx and Xena and Mystic Blade take the reigns for awhile allowed me to have my fun, thank you.
The small cozy little beach, (which btw where Bell's rp home is) was packed with people. Some liked the larger North beach better but this little beach was better for so many reasons: Fire pit (complete with gas can), seating, a natural stage, security from ambushes is easy to maintain with pets due to choke points and low level spawns, and a nice view of sunrises over the ocean. People who didn't like how crowded it was could have easily spread out if they wanted to, the beach spreads out nicely in either direction from the stage area.
Another problem I saw was we had way too many judges for the CC's, Maybe no more then eight judges should be used.
Creating a global channel for the event helped keep it organized among the sponsors, and I made the mistake of not putting that channel into a seperate tab like I do with the VU2009 channel so I can focus either the local channels or the global channels. Local banter kept me from catching everything said on the event channel, tells too. Perhaps having tells on the event tab could help keep track of them too.
I think I will continue to ignore The Cape like I have the last few years seeing they were inflexible with me for this this and last year's event. Its my fault of course for being too spontaneous for their scheduling but still, it doesn't make me think highly of them . From what I understand, DJ Angel had a fine que of music last night that really fit with our after party.
I think about 500 million in prizes total were given out last night and I was happy to bring joy to the winners when they recieved their just rewards. That part was fun and helped make my night.
And that after party at Libertine's Haven was just plain naughty fun ^_^. Vanessa Vanity has a really nice group and an incredible base/club. I'm sure she's still looking for more entertainers and staff.
And the Sisterhood of Naughty Space Vixens got at least two new sisters last night even though I wasn't actively recruiting, we were that charming and fun . We are always looking for more to share in our fun.

Ok, consider my request submitted.
I liked the locale. It didn't seem crowded to me, and if you have a standoffish character, there is a multi-story apartment building overlooking the beach with nice balconies to stand on. Sorry to hear about the internal strife, but you did a nice job of not letting it interfere with the crowd's fun.
One thing I never saw was an announcement of the existence of the global channel, so I couldn't join it. I think the only significant thing I missed was the announcement of the Mr. Beefcake finalists, so Rod just stood there sipping his mineral water.
From listening to the Cape, I get the impression that they are sometimes hard-pressed to fill their time slots. I tune in to hear one DJ and I get someone else. Or I get no one at all and just the stream. So I understand why they insist on the advance notice. I hope you reconsider and try to work with the Cape for the next one. I really wanted to request Muddy Waters' Mannish Boy for Rod Steele during Mr. Beefcake.
The prizes were outstanding, and I concur -- the Libertines have a base like a subterranean Xanadu. I would have liked to have stayed longer, but Lord "ur bad" Xad and the neverending war against Paragon City intervened.
Great turnout, come on down
