1. Any system in which to go to Paragon/Rogue Isles, your villain/hero is stripped of all IOs and downgraded to lvl 1 first and has to level back up again.

2. Any system where a third market is created and GR is treated as a co-op city, and not true crossover.

3. Any system in which the markets aren't merged, and illogically you are allowed to take items back and forth at will--it's illogical because at that point, you might as well merge the f*&^%$g markets.

Posi more or less said no merger for a very long time. I have to say I like the idea of a co-op market, neutral market, courier system. I would just set up operations in all three and coordinate. It worked fabulously for the Rothschilds.

I am pretty certain that player positions on 2 and 3 are just chest puffing, but 1 is the deal breaker.

I've interpreted Posi's past merger comments to mean that he continues to be cautious on implementing any changes, b/c once done, such changes cannot be undone.

Now, if one creates a somewhat isolated environment within which a market merger can be done AND within which it only applies...

...complete an arc or two in GR-land to unlock "merged market access"
...as you make your earnings and gain experience, some portion of your GR-land earnings become converted into the "merged market currency"
...you can use this currency only in GR-land
...those enhancements made from the GR-land merged market will work in GR-land AND in Paragon and RI
...however, the attributes and/or set bonuses from those enhancements are slightly inflated (that is, in the player's favor) if they are used in GR-land as opposed to Paragon and RI

Just some ideas...and I'll recognize the possible challenge of coding GR-land enhancements so that they can't be transported into Paragon and RI for trading. Preventing them from being marketed in Paragon and RI is probably a lot easier, I would think.

That's always been a cop-out excuse.
Back the system up if you're so worried about it.
Maybe they don't want to make that effort, but I refuse to believe it's impossible.

Also, the MA gold rush had at least as violent an impact on the market as a merger would, so that excuse doesn't fly anymore either.

I never cared much for the "explanation" either, but I like how my imaginary dots line up going forward.

If it works well then maybe the GR market model gets rolled out to Paragon and RI.

In parallel, they could make the markets more of an integrated storyline.
One could write content for days and days off of that!
